Accountabilities:
The AVP, Product Marketing will lead the product marketing organization responsible for developing market positioning, messaging, enablement strategies, and content programs that support business growth. This role combines people leadership with hands-on execution, requiring close partnership across product, sales, marketing, and go-to-market teams.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of product marketing professionals responsible for specialized product areas.
Establish the strategic operating model for product marketing, including messaging development, validation processes, prioritization, and execution standards.
Own the development and evolution of product messaging, positioning, value propositions, and competitive differentiation across the platform.
Ensure messaging accurately reflects product capabilities, technical innovation, customer outcomes, and market opportunities.
Translate product and engineering roadmaps into compelling market narratives that anticipate customer needs and industry trends.
Guide the creation of buyer-focused use cases, personas, vertical messaging, and demo narratives that connect solutions to real customer challenges.
Own the sales enablement content strategy, ensuring field teams have the resources needed to communicate product value effectively.
Manage the product marketing content pipeline that supports campaigns, demand generation, and customer engagement.
Build strong feedback loops with product, sales, customer-facing teams, and market intelligence functions to continuously improve messaging effectiveness.
Influence product strategy by incorporating customer insights, competitive intelligence, and market trends into roadmap discussions.
Represent product marketing leadership in executive forums and cross-functional planning initiatives.
Requirements: The ideal candidate is a strategic product marketing leader with extensive experience in technology markets and a proven ability to build teams, shape messaging, and drive go-to-market success. They should combine technical fluency, business acumen, and strong communication skills to influence customers, executives, and internal stakeholders.
12+ years of experience in product marketing, with 3-5+ years of experience leading product marketing teams or senior individual contributors.
Deep knowledge of cybersecurity markets, enterprise technology platforms, and security buyer audiences.
Proven experience developing product messaging and positioning at both product and platform levels.
Strong track record of building and scaling product marketing strategies that support business growth.
Experience leading and coaching high-performing teams while maintaining hands-on involvement in strategic initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with product management, sales, marketing, and executive leadership.
Experience managing content strategies and pipelines connected to demand generation and go-to-market programs.
Strong understanding of buyer needs, competitive landscapes, and market positioning strategies.
Executive presence with the ability to influence decisions and drive alignment across diverse teams.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for different audiences.
Ability to operate successfully in a fast-paced, evolving environment driven by innovation.
