The Challenge
NI/Emerson Test & Measurement needs a Principal Product Marketing Engineer to bridge R&D and market, turning cutting-edge instrumentation into compelling narratives for technical buyers. You'll evangelize hardware and software solutions that outperform competitors while managing complex product launches and cross-functional campaigns.
Your Mission
Audit and refresh existing product messaging for 3 flagship product lines (oscilloscopes, data acquisition, LabVIEW ecosystem)
Produce 4-6 high-impact pieces of collateral (white papers, demo videos, technical presentations) aligned with Q2 go-to-market push
Map and document target buyer personas for each product vertical with pain points, decision drivers, and success metrics
Establish baseline performance metrics for existing content and campaigns to measure future impact
Launch coordinated campaigns for 2 new product releases with integrated video, white paper, and sales enablement content
Deliver product training to 200+ sales reps across direct and partner channels, measuring competency lift
Grow engagement on 3 key social/community channels by 35%+ through technical thought leadership content
Conduct post-launch analysis on 3 campaigns, documenting win rates and messaging performance to inform roadmap

Content Engagement Rate
Measure views, time-on-page, and shares for videos, white papers, and demos to validate messaging resonance with technical audiences.
Sales Enablement Adoption
Track how many sales reps use your content in deals and correlate usage to deal velocity and win rate by product line.
Campaign-Influenced Pipeline
Attribute leads and pipeline value to specific product marketing campaigns, targeting 15-20% influence on total pipeline.
Product Launch Time-to-Revenue
Measure days from product release to first customer win, with goal of reducing cycle by 20% vs. historical launches.
Event ROI
Calculate cost-per-qualified lead and deal influence for trade shows and conferences you attend.

- You can speak the language of oscilloscopes, DAQ systems, and test automation—or learn it fast with hands-on hardware
- You're a versatile creator: you can write a tight white paper, direct a demo video, and present to a room of PhDs with equal confidence
- You thrive owning product launches end-to-end and love cross-functional collaboration with R&D, sales, and product teams
- You need remote flexibility—this role is on-site only in Austin, TX
- You've only done B2C or consumer marketing; this is deep technical B2B with complex buyer journeys
- You're uncomfortable getting technical and diving into instrumentation specs, use cases, and competitive positioning
