Where And How You Can Work
Our headquarters is in sunny Sydney, Australia, but our team spans the globe. While we support flexible, remote-friendly ways of working, for this role, we’re focusing on São Paulo, Brazil, so we can best support our teams and keep collaboration flowing.
What You'd Be Doing In This Role
As Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
At The Moment, This Role Is Focused On
- Building Canva's commercial partnership engine in Brazil from the ground up — defining the strategy across key verticals like telcos, fintechs, marketplaces, and SMB ecosystems, and turning that strategy into signed, activated, high-impact deals.
- Owning the full partnership lifecycle — from sourcing and negotiating to launching, optimising, and expanding — making sure every partnership compounds in value well beyond the moment of signing.
- Designing joint go-to-market and activation plans that create real user growth and revenue outcomes, working hand-in-hand with Marketing, Growth, Product, Content, and Localization teams.
- Managing senior executive relationships with strategic partners across payments providers, government bodies, and trusted local brands — navigating complex commercial negotiations with maturity and confidence.
- Tracking what matters — building the reporting cadence, commercial models, and KPI frameworks that keep partners accountable and performance moving in the right direction.
- Acting as Canva's eyes and ears in the Brazilian market — translating local ecosystem insights into actionable input for global teams and shaping Canva's Truly Local strategy in one of its most important growth markets.
- You've built commercial partnerships that actually moved the needle — you have 7+ years in Strategic Partnerships, Commercial Strategy, or GTM roles and a track record of driving real MAU or revenue growth through ecosystem relationships.
- You think in growth loops, not just deals — you understand how distribution, activation, and retention connect, and you design partnerships that deliver sustained value over time, not just a spike at launch.
- You're as comfortable in a spreadsheet as you are in a boardroom — you can model commercial impact, define smart KPIs, and negotiate complex agreements with senior external stakeholders.
- You lead through influence — you bring cross-functional teams along without needing formal authority, and internal collaborators trust you to represent shared goals in partner conversations.
- You thrive in ambiguity and fast-moving environments — you create clarity and structure where others see chaos, and you don't wait for the perfect playbook before making progress.
- You're deeply embedded in the Brazilian ecosystem — you're fluent in Portuguese and English, based in Brazil, and bring genuine knowledge of the local fintech, telco, marketplace, and SMB landscape.
