The Challenge
WPP Media's EssenceMediacom is hunting for a Social Media Community Manager to own strategy across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube for culturally-driven brands. You'll translate audience insights into content that actually moves the needle, collaborating with creative and data teams to deliver integrated campaigns that prove ROI.
Your Mission
Audit existing social media presence and establish editorial guidelines, content frameworks, and platform-specific strategies for at least 2 client accounts
Design and present 3 strategic social media proposals demonstrating integration with paid amplification and media planning
Build and document community management protocols; establish baseline metrics (engagement rate, sentiment, share of voice) across primary platforms
Collaborate with creative and insights teams to develop 1 integrated campaign brief showing organic + paid social strategy with projected KPIs
Own full social media strategy execution for 3-5 active client accounts; demonstrate measurable growth in engagement, reach, or conversion metrics month-over-month
Develop proprietary content frameworks that leverage cultural insights to drive platform-native performance (e.g., TikTok virality benchmarks, Instagram Reels CTR targets)
Lead quarterly strategic reviews with clients; present data-backed recommendations that improve media ROI by 15%+ or reduce CAC by 20%+
Scale team capabilities: mentor 1-2 junior community managers and establish repeatable processes for content calendar management, performance reporting, and culture-to-insight translation

Engagement Rate (Likes + Comments + Shares / Impressions)
Track organic engagement across all platforms; target 2-5% depending on platform and audience size.
Share of Voice
Monitor client's social mentions vs. competitors to gauge brand presence in cultural conversations.
Content Performance Lift (Paid vs. Organic)
Measure incremental reach, CTR, and conversion uplift from paid amplification of organic content.
Community Health Score
Sentiment analysis, response time, and follower growth rate to assess community strength and brand affinity.
Campaign Attribution / Media ROI
Connect social media activity to downstream conversions or sales using UTM tracking and attribution modeling.
