The Challenge
Universal Music France is the powerhouse behind France's biggest artists and catalog. You'll own digital strategy optimization across labels and artists, orchestrating partnerships with Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube to maximize visibility and streaming performance.
Your Mission
Audit and map current digital strategies for 5-10 active label projects; identify optimization gaps in content, timeline, and spend allocation
Establish relationships with DSP editors (Spotify, Deezer, Apple, YouTube, Amazon) and lock in playlist partnership agreements for upcoming releases
Build KPI tracking dashboard to monitor streaming performance, playlist placement rates, and conversion metrics across all managed projects
Deliver 3 strategic recommendations to labels on content strategy, timing, and playlist positioning based on data analysis
Drive 15-20% uplift in first-week streaming numbers across managed releases through optimized launch strategies and DSP partnerships
Expand digital strategy guidance to all active labels within UMF; position yourself as go-to digital strategist across organization
Identify and pilot 2 new digital partnership opportunities or platform initiatives (e.g., exclusive content, emerging platforms, creator collaborations)
Document playbook for release strategy optimization; train label teams on KPI analysis and performance measurement best practices

Percentage of releases securing placement on DSP editorial/algorithmic playlists; direct indicator of visibility and platform momentum

Marketing investment divided by streams; track efficiency of paid promotion vs. organic growth from partnerships
Label Strategy Adoption Rate
Percentage of strategic recommendations implemented by labels; measure influence and credibility with internal stakeholders
DSP Partnership Fulfillment Rate
Percentage of agreed partnership deliverables completed on-time; track partnership execution quality
