The Challenge

SquareTrade is disrupting a $30B protection plans market with blue-chip retail partners like Walmart, Amazon, and Target. You'll own the P&L for one of their largest partnerships and drive growth across a complex, multi-stakeholder environment spanning retail ops, e-commerce, customer experience, and product.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Map current state of key retail partnership: sales channels, margin drivers, competitive threats, and customer friction points

2

Build and socialize 12-month growth and profitability strategy with retail partner stakeholders and internal leadership

3

Identify and launch 2-3 quick-win initiatives (in-store merchandising, online visibility, product bundling) to demonstrate momentum

4

Establish baseline metrics and reporting dashboard for account health, sales velocity, and customer satisfaction

By 6 Months
1

Execute 4-6 major joint-growth initiatives with retail partner and track to measurable outcomes (revenue lift, attach rate, claim satisfaction)

2

Optimize retail execution: increase in-store associate awareness and customer education; boost dotcom conversion and AOV

3

Conduct competitive analysis and bring 2+ product/service innovation recommendations to leadership

4

Achieve or exceed performance targets on revenue, profitability, and customer NPS; present quarterly business review to Allstate leadership

KPIs You'll Own

Partnership Revenue & Growth Rate

YoY % growth and absolute revenue contribution from assigned retail partnership.

Account Profitability/Margin

Gross margin % and net contribution after all costs; track vs. targets.

Customer NPS & Claims Experience

Net Promoter Score among retail partner customers and claims resolution satisfaction.

In-Store & Online Attach Rate

% of eligible transactions that include SquareTrade protection; tracked by channel.

Initiative Completion & ROI

On-time, on-budget delivery of growth/profitability projects; measured impact on KPIs.

  • You've managed P&Ls or owned key retail/OEM partnerships in a B2B context-you know how to navigate multi-stakeholder complexity and sell internally
  • You're analytically sharp: you can build financial models, track KPIs obsessively, and make data-driven decisions under ambiguity
  • You thrive in variety: strategy one day, tactical execution and event planning the next; you don't need a narrow lane
  • You're ambitious but grounded: you want to grow revenue and profitability, but you'll also roll up your sleeves on customer experience and in-store merchandising to get there
  • You have 7+ years in management consulting, ops, or account management; retail or manufacturer experience is a plus
Won't Work If
  • You need hands-off autonomy or a narrow, specialized scope-this role demands constant collaboration and context-switching
  • You're allergic to travel or need full remote work; on-site in Chicago + regular retail partner site visits is non-negotiable
  • You lack B2B partnership or account management experience; pure B2C or transactional sales backgrounds may struggle with the complexity here
  • You're risk-averse or prefer stable, predictable environments; this is scrappy, high-growth, and entrepreneurial
