The Challenge
Publicis Connected Media is a human-scaled SEO agency within a global powerhouse (27 agencies, 36 countries). You'll own a mixed portfolio of premium accounts with real budgets and direct client relationships—where your recommendations actually get implemented.
Your Mission
Conduct deep technical audits on 2-3 assigned accounts using Screaming Frog, Oncrawl, and Search Console; deliver prioritized 90-day roadmaps
Establish direct client relationships and cadence (weekly/bi-weekly touchpoints); present initial SEO strategy to key stakeholders
Map competitor landscape and content gaps for each account; identify quick-wins for organic traffic lift
Onboard onto internal tools, processes, and team; identify one process improvement opportunity
Deliver 15-25% organic traffic growth across portfolio (or equivalent ranking improvements on priority keywords) with documented A/B tests
Lead 2-3 major technical SEO implementations (site migrations, Core Web Vitals fixes, schema markup overhauls) end-to-end
Mentor 1-2 junior team members through complete client project cycle; document best practices
Present findings at 1 external SEO conference or publish 1 internal thought-leadership piece on AI/LLM impact on organic search
KPIs You'll Own
Organic Traffic Growth %
Month-over-month and year-over-year traffic lift for assigned accounts, segmented by landing page and user intent.
Keyword Rankings (Top 3, Top 10, Top 30)
Movement of priority keywords across search positions, tracked in Semrush or equivalent; aligned to revenue-driving intent.
Client Satisfaction / NPS
Quarterly feedback from key stakeholders on strategy clarity, responsiveness, and recommendation impact.
Technical SEO Audit Closure Rate
% of identified technical issues resolved within agreed timelines; tracks implementation velocity.
Team Mentorship / Knowledge Transfer
Documented learnings, code reviews, and skill progression of juniors coached.

- You have 4+ years of hands-on SEO experience, ideally in agency or multi-client environments managing demanding stakeholders
- You're fluent in technical SEO audits, content strategy, and link building—and can translate data into clear client recommendations
- You thrive on direct client contact, can manage shifting priorities under pressure, and articulate strategy in executive presentations
- You're curious about AI/LLM impact on organic search and eager to mentor junior talent while owning strategic accounts
- You prefer heads-down individual contributor work over client-facing accountability and team collaboration
- You need 100% remote or can't commit to 3 days/week on-site in Paris
- You haven't managed complex technical audits or client relationships; this role requires proven independence and judgment
Interview Process
Initial Screening
Phone/video with recruiter: background validation, motivation check, fluency in English/French
Technical Deep Dive
1-2 hour working session with Team Lead: walk through a live audit, recommend prioritization for a real (anonymized) account scenario
Client Soft Skills / Case Study
Panel interview with Team Lead + peer: present a past campaign, discuss client management approach, answer stakeholder management scenarios
Final Round
Meet with hiring manager or agency leadership: culture fit, growth ambitions, questions about team structure and tools
