About us.

Kalmus Labs is building Remora - an AI-native platform designed to transform books, documents, and information into interactive, adaptive experiences people can actually engage with and remember.

Most learning products today feel transactional and forgettable. We’re building something more human: a product that blends AI, personalization, design, atmosphere, and interaction into a system people genuinely want to spend time with.

We’re still early - which means the people joining now will heavily influence how the company grows, communicates, and is perceived publicly.

Why this role is different.

This is not a traditional “social media manager” position.

You won’t be scheduling generic posts for a corporate brand.

You’ll help shape

how the company communicates online how the product is perceived how early users emotionally connect with Remora how content, narrative, and internet culture intersect with the brand

Part strategy.

Part storytelling.

Part internet intuition.

Part growth experimentation.

You’ll work directly with the founder in a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment with very little bureaucracy.

What you’ll do.

  • Build early online presence around Remora
  • Create and experiment with content across X, LinkedIn, Reddit, Product Hunt, and future channels
  • Write posts, threads, launch narratives, positioning ideas, and internet-native content
  • Help shape the company voice and tone
  • Collaborate with video/design side on visuals, campaigns, and launches
  • Explore lightweight organic growth and experimental marketing ideas
  • Engage with early users and communities
  • Observe patterns: what spreads, what resonates, what dies instantly
  • Help turn a small AI startup into something recognizable and culturally distinct

This role is ideal for someone who

naturally studies internet behavior understands online culture likes experimentation enjoys building things from zero

Understand how attention works online Write naturally and clearly Have strong intuition for content and positioning Are interested in AI, startups, internet culture, or digital products Can think independently without constant management Enjoy fast iteration and ambiguity Care about ideas, aesthetics, and communication quality

Bonus if you

have built communities before ran accounts/pages/projects understand founder/product storytelling have startup or creator-economy experience know how online narratives form and spread

We care much more about instinct, creativity, and execution than specific software.

Work style / culture.

Small core team (~10 people) Remote-first Minimal meetings Fast feedback Flexible schedule (~10-20h/week initially) Direct communication Strong ownership and autonomy Opportunity to grow into a long-term paid role as the company scales

Compensation.

Equity-only for now (Pre-Seed stage)

4-year vesting / 1-year cliff

Target range

~2%

As the company grows and funding closes, the goal is to transition strong contributors into paid long-term positions.
