The Challenge
Lead the engineering team building growth-critical systems that drive user acquisition and retention for a global platform. You'll own the technical strategy behind signup flows, marketing funnels, and engagement tools serving millions of users.
Your Mission
Assess team structure, skills, and gaps; establish 1-on-1 cadence with direct reports and set Q1 OKRs aligned with Growth roadmap
Ship one high-impact growth feature end-to-end, demonstrating technical leadership and modeling engineering excellence
Map current architecture for core growth systems (signup, activation, retention); identify technical debt and scalability bottlenecks
Build cross-functional alignment with Product and Design; establish weekly collaboration cadence and decision-making framework
Grow and stabilize team; complete one successful hire and improve team velocity by 20-30% through process improvements
Reduce time-to-market for growth experiments by 40%; implement AI-driven development tools to boost productivity
Achieve <99.5% uptime on critical growth systems; document and refactor one legacy system for scalability
Establish mentorship program; develop two engineers into senior/lead roles; implement technical interview standards across Growth org
