Job Summary: This is a platform-side trade marketing role focused on category growth, rather than brand-side marketing. The role owns end-to-end trade marketing strategy and operation for our EMEA toy and consumer goods category. You will build category trade rules, design merchant incentive mechanisms, manage category TPM budget, and launch platform-level category campaigns to drive category GMV expansion, merchant activity improvement and sustainable ecosystem growth across EMEA markets.
Key Responsibilities
Category Trade Strategy & System Building
Develop annual trade marketing roadmaps and category growth strategies for EMEA core categories. Build and iterate standardized platform trade operation systems, including tiered merchant incentives, category subsidy rules and differentiated growth policies for flagship brands, mid-tier sellers and new merchants, to activate the overall category merchant ecosystem.
Category Campaign Planning & Execution
Own the category promotion calendar aligned with EMEA key shopping nodes based on the campaign calendar and local seasonal sales. Combine platform traffic resources and category-exclusive trade benefits to launch customized category campaigns, boost overall category transaction volume, penetration and user consumption scale.
Category Trade Marketing Budget & ROI Management
Independently manage EMEA category trade marketing budget, complete scientific budget allocation by country, merchant tier and campaign scenario. Standardize subsidy specifications, track full-cycle fund investment and output, conduct closed-loop ROI analysis, optimize budget structure, and improve the overall utilization efficiency of category trade resources.
Key Merchant Trade Cooperation & Category Value Delivery
Drive in-depth trade cooperation with core brand merchants (e.g., Mattel and top-tier consumer goods brands). Negotiate joint promotion plans, platform resource support and merchant matching investment. Empower key merchants with category-exclusive activities and product strategies to lift their conversion and sales, so as to strengthen platform category scale and user stickiness.
Industry Insight & Competitive Strategy Iteration
Continuously monitor EMEA competing platforms’ category trade policies, merchant incentive rules and campaign gameplay. Analyze local market consumption characteristics, iterate our category trade strategies dynamically, and maintain the platform’s competitiveness in merchant attraction and category transaction scale.
Data-driven Category Growth Optimization
Track core category metrics including GMV, transaction volume, merchant activity, new seller growth, conversion rate and traffic efficiency. Identify growth bottlenecks and incremental opportunities via data analysis, and launch targeted trade marketing optimization solutions to drive steady improvement of category scale and quality.
Cross-functional Collaboration & Business Review
Collaborate with traffic operation, merchant operation, product, regional and compliance teams to ensure smooth policy and campaign implementation. Deliver weekly/monthly/quarterly category trade performance reports and business reviews to support data-based strategic decisions.
