The Challenge
Ideogram is the fastest-growing creative AI platform with $100M in funding and millions of daily users. As their first Director of Growth, you'll build the marketing foundation for a category-defining product at the intersection of AI, design, and culture—reporting directly to the CEO with total ownership of GTM strategy.
Your Mission
Audit competitive landscape, define positioning, and lock GTM strategy with CEO and product team
Launch 2-3 high-impact content/SEO initiatives targeting design and AI audiences
Establish baseline metrics across organic, paid, and partnership channels; implement tracking
Onboard and manage first cohort of marketing contractors/freelancers to execute core initiatives
Scale user acquisition from baseline by 40%+ through optimized organic and paid channels
Build sustainable content engine (blog, case studies, creator spotlights) generating 10K+ monthly organic traffic
Establish 5-10 strategic influencer/creator partnerships driving brand awareness and signups
Develop retention and community engagement playbook; measure and improve email and in-product metrics

Track month-over-month user growth % as primary north star for growth initiatives.
Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC)
Measure cost-per-user acquired across all channels to optimize marketing spend efficiency.
Organic Traffic & Conversion
Monitor SEO/content performance in terms of monthly visitors and conversion rate to signup.
Content Engagement & Reach
Track impressions, clicks, and shares on blog posts, social, and creator partnerships.
Email Marketing Performance
Measure open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates for onboarding and retention campaigns.
