The Challenge

Guardian Life is scaling its Wealth Management division and needs a strategic leader to own the entire marketing function—from go-to-market for new RIA platforms to driving growth across distribution channels. You'll report directly to senior leadership and shape how this business reaches high-net-worth clients in a heavily regulated space.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Audit current Wealth Management marketing efforts, competitive landscape, and RIA positioning; deliver strategic assessment with 90-day priorities

Establish marketing infrastructure and governance for new RIA platform launch, including compliance framework and advisor enablement collateral

3

Build and onboard core marketing team; define roles, responsibilities, and 12-month roadmap

4

Develop channel diversification strategy identifying 2-3 emerging distribution opportunities with revenue potential

By 6 Months
1

Launch integrated go-to-market campaign for new RIA offering; track adoption rates, advisor onboarding velocity, and AUM growth

2

Execute sales enablement program across wholesaler and advisor networks; measure engagement, content usage, and pipeline contribution

3

Establish baseline marketing metrics (brand awareness, lead quality, cost-per-acquisition by channel); optimize top 2 underperforming channels

4

Scale marketing ops: implement marketing automation, reporting dashboard, and compliance tracking systems

KPIs You'll Own

AUM Growth by Channel

Track assets under management growth attributed to each distribution channel to measure marketing effectiveness and ROI.

RIA Platform Adoption

Monitor advisor onboarding velocity, platform migration rates, and advisor satisfaction scores post-launch.

Lead Quality & Conversion

Measure qualified leads generated by marketing campaigns, conversion rates through sales funnel, and cost-per-acquisition by segment.

Wholesaler Enablement Impact

Track collateral usage, training completion rates, and pipeline attributed to wholesaler-enabled campaigns.

Brand Awareness & Share of Voice

Benchmark Guardian Life's HNW segment awareness against key competitors quarterly.

Salary

$132K-$218K base

Remote

Hybrid: 3 days/week on-site at Hudson Yards, NYC; up to 25% travel

  • You've scaled an RIA platform or built wealth management marketing from scratch and understand the nuances of advisor enablement and compliance
  • You're energized by complex go-to-market launches in regulated industries and can navigate Legal, Compliance, and multiple stakeholders without losing momentum
  • You lead through influence—selling vision to senior execs while executing flawlessly with your team in a fast-moving environment
  • You obsess over metrics: you don't declare victory on feelings, you prove impact with data on AUM growth, lead quality, and channel ROI
  • You want a VP-level role with strategic ownership, not a tactical execution position
Won't Work If
  • Your wealth management experience is surface-level or you've never worked with RIA platforms—this requires deep domain expertise
  • You need full remote work; this role is firmly hybrid with on-site expectations and significant stakeholder alignment required in-person
  • You're uncomfortable with regulatory constraints or find compliance discussions tedious—this role lives at the intersection of bold marketing and guardrails
