The Challenge

Capitol CMG is hunting for a Digital Marketing Manager to orchestrate growth across their artist rosters. You'll own the full digital playbook-social, paid ads, streaming campaigns, influencer partnerships-driving real engagement and stream counts for music releases.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Audit and optimize current social media presence across 8+ platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) for 3-5 key artists; establish baseline engagement metrics

Launch 2-3 coordinated paid advertising campaigns (Meta, TikTok, Google) for upcoming releases with clear ROAS targets and audience segmentation

Map out content calendar and CRM email strategy for Q1-Q2 releases; build templates for repeatable campaign workflows

4

Establish relationships with 10+ micro-influencers and digital partners relevant to label's artist genres; document partnership opportunities

By 6 Months
1

Grow social followers across all platforms by 25-40% YoY; increase engagement rate (likes, comments, shares) by 30%+

2

Execute 6+ full-cycle release campaigns from announcement through playlist push; track streaming lift and playlist adds per campaign

3

Reduce paid ad spend per stream acquired by 15-20% through audience refinement and creative testing

4

Deliver monthly performance dashboards to VPs showing KPIs across social, paid, email, and streaming; present strategic recommendations

Track CRM subscriber growth and campaign open rates; segment by artist/genre for targeted outreach.

Playlist Adds & Streaming Lift

Monitor playlist placements and stream count increases tied to marketing campaigns; correlate paid spend to playlist success.

Influencer Campaign ROI

Measure reach, engagement, and attributed streams from influencer partnerships vs. investment.

For You If
  • You've managed paid social or paid search campaigns at scale; you speak ROAS, CAC, and audience segmentation fluently
  • You obsess over music/entertainment and understand streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music) as both a marketer and consumer
  • You're comfortable juggling 5-10 active artist campaigns simultaneously without dropping balls or losing your mind
  • You've built social media communities from the ground up and know what makes content stick on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
  • You're analytical but also scrappy-comfortable doing hands-on work (content creation, ad setup) while managing upward to leadership
Won't Work If
  • You need 100% remote flexibility; this is hybrid with 4 mandatory days in Nashville
  • You have no hands-on experience with paid advertising platforms (Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, Google Ads); this role is execution-heavy
  • You're not passionate about music or entertainment; mission fit matters in this industry and shows in your work quality
