The Challenge

Coty is a global luxury goods powerhouse seeking a Trade Marketing Assistant to drive fragrance business strategy across markets. You'll own 360° activations, monitor KPIs across regions, and align retail strategy with brand vision—operating at the intersection of global strategy and local execution.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Map key market needs, competitive intelligence, and post-mortem insights from year-1 campaigns to inform Q3-Q4 activation planning

Build and present first 360° activation strategy covering merchandising, in-store, e-commerce, education, and media across 3-5 priority markets

3

Establish KPI tracking dashboard and deliver first sell-in/sell-out performance report with quantitative analysis and optimization recs

4

Coordinate with Fashion House partners on contractual compliance, distribution changes, and BA incentive programs for Q3 launch

By 6 Months
1

Deploy 360° activations across all assigned markets with documented execution tracking and performance monitoring

Complete 3-year plan exercise and deliver strategic review presentations to senior management with competitive benchmarking

Launch new product portfolio with accurate planograms, retail coordination, and sell-out monitoring across channels

4

Build quarterly business review package combining market data, competitive analysis, and category management recommendations for board/stakeholder reviews

KPIs You'll Own

Sell-in/Sell-out Performance

Track weekly/monthly revenue and unit velocity by market, channel, and SKU against targets and prior year

Activation Execution Rate

Monitor % of planned 360° activations deployed on-time across merchandising, sampling, gifting, and media

New Product Launch Velocity

Measure first 90-day sell-through rates and distribution coverage for NPD across retail and online channels

Market Share & Competitive Position

Track brand performance vs. competitive set and market trends; inform category management decisions

3Y Plan Variance

Monthly actuals vs. 3-year strategic plan with variance analysis and forecast adjustments

Is This Role For You?

For You If
  • You've got 3-5 years in trade marketing, brand marketing, or commercial strategy—ideally in luxury, beauty, or retail
  • You're fluent in French AND English and comfortable presenting to French Fashion Houses and global teams
  • You can juggle 10 things at once: tracking KPIs, coordinating activations, monitoring launches, and reporting upward with clarity
  • You thrive at the intersection of global strategy and local market execution—thinking bigger picture while solving real retail problems
  • You have business acumen in luxury and understand how trade spend, merchandising, and activation drive sell-through
Won't Work If
  • You need remote flexibility or can't commit to Paris on-site for a 6-month sprint
  • You're not comfortable with heavy cross-functional coordination and managing up to senior leadership
  • You lack data literacy—this role demands KPI tracking, reporting, and quantitative analysis; qualitative gut feel won't cut it
