Chemicals Global is a U.S.-based supplier of specialty chemicals, food ingredients, sanitizers, food-grade lubricants, and industrial solutions.
We serve manufacturers, food and beverage processors, distributors, educational institutions, healthcare organizations, government agencies, and other commercial and industrial customers.
As we continue expanding, we are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Business Development & Growth Specialist to help us identify new customers, generate qualified opportunities, execute marketing initiatives, manage our sales pipeline, and support the growth of our business.
Position Summary
This is not a traditional administrative virtual assistant position.
We are looking for a hands-on business development professional who enjoys researching prospective customers, conducting outbound outreach, scheduling appointments, following up on sales opportunities, managing CRM activity, and helping execute digital marketing campaigns.
The successful candidate will work directly with our CEO and collaborate with our sales and operations teams. This person will play an important role in developing new business opportunities and building scalable sales and marketing systems.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development and Lead Generation
- Research manufacturers, food processors, distributors, schools, healthcare organizations, municipalities, and industrial companies.
- Identify decision-makers and build accurate prospect lists.
- Generate qualified leads through email, LinkedIn, telephone outreach, referrals, and online research.
Contact prospective customers and introduce Chemicals Global’s products and solutions. Schedule qualified appointments for the CEO and outside sales team. Conduct consistent follow-up with prospects, inactive customers, and open opportunities. Help generate requests for quotations, product inquiries, sample requests, and sales meetings. Support customer reactivation and account-development campaigns. CRM and Sales Pipeline Management Maintain accurate customer, prospect, and opportunity information in HubSpot CRM. Record calls, emails, meetings, follow-up activities, and sales notes.
- Monitor the sales pipeline and ensure opportunities receive timely follow-up.
- Track quotations, samples, appointments, and next steps.
- Create weekly reports covering leads, appointments, RFQs, opportunities, and campaign performance.
Help improve CRM processes, lead segmentation, automation, and reporting. Marketing and Growth Support Assist with email marketing and lead-nurturing campaigns. Support the Chemicals Global LinkedIn company page and other digital channels. Help create sales presentations, product flyers, email content, and marketing materials.
- Coordinate content for product landing pages, digital catalogs, and company websites.
- Support SEO, online advertising, marketing automation, and lead-capture initiatives.
Use AI tools to improve prospect research, communications, content creation, and productivity. Analyze campaign performance and recommend improvements. Sales Support Assist with preparing quotations, proposals, presentations, and customer communications. Coordinate product literature, samples, and follow-up materials. Prepare prospect briefs before customer meetings.
- Support the outside sales representative with appointment scheduling and territory research.
- Collaborate with operations, purchasing, customer service, and management to provide an excellent customer experience.
- Required Qualifications
At least two to four years of experience in business development, B2B sales, lead generation, digital marketing, appointment setting, or a related field. Excellent spoken and written English. Strong professional communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated experience researching prospects and identifying business decision-makers. Experience conducting outbound outreach through email, LinkedIn, or telephone calls. Experience using CRM platforms; HubSpot experience is strongly preferred. Strong organizational skills and consistent attention to detail. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Comfortable using ChatGPT and other AI-powered productivity tools. Reliable internet connection and a professional remote-working environment. Ability to work during agreed U.S. Eastern Time business hours. Preferred Qualifications Experience working remotely for a U.S.-based company. Experience in industrial distribution, chemicals, manufacturing, food processing, food safety, ingredients, lubricants, sanitation, or related B2B sectors. Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator. Familiarity with HubSpot marketing and sales tools. Experience with Canva, email marketing platforms, landing pages, SEO, or marketing automation. Experience preparing quotations, proposals, presentations, or sales reports. Spanish-English bilingual ability is valuable but not required.
