The Challenge

Cargill's processed meats portfolio across LATAM (Bucanero, Campollo, Kimby) needs aggressive growth and market share gains. You'll own the complete strategic marketing mandate—from category strategy to go-to-market execution—across one of the world's largest food companies.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Audit current category performance, competitive positioning, and consumer sentiment across LATAM markets; deliver insights report identifying top 3 growth opportunities

Establish baseline metrics for volume, profitability, market share, and marketing ROI by market; align on tracking cadence with commercial and finance teams

Define and socialize brand value propositions for Bucanero, Campollo, and Kimby aligned with target consumer segments and market opportunities

4

Map stakeholder ecosystem (R&D, sales, local teams) and establish cross-functional governance rhythm for strategy execution

By 6 Months
1

Launch 2-3 integrated marketing campaigns demonstrating measurable uplift in brand awareness, consideration, and trial among target segments

Identify and validate 2+ product innovation or line extension opportunities; brief executive leadership with market sizing and go-to-market recommendation

Deliver category growth plan with volume, margin, and market share targets by market; secure budget and commercial alignment

Establish data infrastructure to track category performance in real-time; build monthly insights dashboard and optimize marketing spend allocation by 15%+ ROI improvement

  • You've managed brand or category strategy for 6+ years in CPG, food, or beverage—with proven wins in market share and profitability
  • You're fluent in Spanish and have lived/worked in LATAM; you understand regional consumer behavior and retail dynamics
  • You love data: you build dashboards, track KPIs religiously, and make decisions based on insights, not hunches
  • You can navigate large matrixed organizations; you're comfortable influencing without authority and building cross-functional alignment

  • You need remote flexibility; this is on-site only in Bogotá
  • You haven't worked in protein/meat categories or packaged food; the category expertise bar is real
  • You're uncomfortable with Spanish-language communication; LATAM collaboration requires it
