Anthropic just shipped Claude into a market where AI assistants are commoditizing fast. You'll own the entire marketing strategy to position Claude as the safety-first, actually-useful alternative while building a world-class team from scratch.
Your Mission
Audit competitive positioning and establish Claude's differentiated market narrative around AI safety + capability
Build out marketing team structure across brand, growth, and organic channels with first key hires
Define measurement framework and baseline KPIs for awareness, consideration, and adoption by segment
Develop integrated campaign calendar for next 6 months aligned with product roadmap releases
Launch integrated awareness campaign reaching technical and non-technical prosumer segments with measurable lift in brand consideration
Execute go-to-market for 2+ major Claude feature releases with clear adoption metrics
Scale high-performing growth channels (paid, partnerships, organic) with demonstrated unit economics
Establish Claude as top-3 consideration set for AI assistants among target audiences through brand tracking

Quarterly tracking of Claude's position in aided/unaided awareness vs. ChatGPT, Gemini, and other competitors.
Customer Acquisition Cost by Segment
CAC for technical vs. non-technical prosumer segments across paid, organic, and partnership channels.
Claude Adoption Rate
Month-over-month growth in new users, active users, and paid conversion rate by acquisition channel.
Campaign ROI
Revenue influenced by integrated campaigns divided by total campaign spend, tracked by initiative.
Organic Traffic & SEO
Branded and non-branded search volume, keyword rankings, and organic conversion rate to sign-up.

- You can articulate product differentiation in complex markets and turn it into compelling go-to-market motion
- You're equally comfortable in board presentations and Slack channels debugging a campaign that's underperforming
- You're genuinely energized by the AI safety angle—not just chasing hype, but believing in responsible AI development
- You have 15+ years marketing experience with proven success driving adoption in crowded, competitive categories
- You need remote flexibility or want to avoid San Francisco; this is on-site only
- You're uncomfortable with ambiguity—Claude's market position is still being defined and you'll shape it from day one
- You view marketing as brand fluff; this role requires deep partnership with product and ability to drive measurable business outcomes
