The Challenge
BioMarin is a global biotech leader translating genetic discoveries into transformative medicines. They're building a global patient engagement digital strategy from the ground up, and you'll own the entire Salesforce Health Cloud platform and omnichannel execution that connects patients across email, SMS, portals, and care touchpoints.
Your Mission
Map current patient CRM landscape across regions; identify compliance gaps (HIPAA, GDPR) and consolidation opportunities
Establish Salesforce Health Cloud governance framework, data architecture, and admin protocols
Co-design omnichannel engagement strategy with Patient Services, Brand, and Market Access leadership
Build stakeholder alignment across global and regional business units on digital roadmap and quick wins
Launch Phase 1 of Salesforce Health Cloud with 2+ regional implementations; achieve 80%+ adoption targets
Execute 3+ integrated omnichannel campaigns (email, SMS, portal) measuring engagement and adherence lift
Develop patient journey mapping and segmentation model driving personalized, compliant messaging
Define and track patient CRM KPIs (engagement rates, portal usage, adherence correlation, NPS) across regions

Patient Adherence Correlation
Correlation between omnichannel engagement frequency and medication adherence/refill metrics
Salesforce Health Cloud Adoption
% of field, patient services, and care coordinator teams actively using CRM; feature adoption rate
Omnichannel Campaign Performance
Response rate, click-through rate, and conversion metrics across email, SMS, and portal campaigns
Compliance & Data Quality Score
% of patient records meeting HIPAA/GDPR/regional privacy requirements; data accuracy audit results

Is This Role For You?
- You've led enterprise Salesforce implementations (especially Health Cloud) and understand compliance-first healthcare digital strategy
- You thrive translating complex patient journeys into omnichannel campaigns and can measure what matters (adherence, engagement, outcomes)
- You're comfortable operating in a matrix; you partner with field, medical, IT, and legal teams daily and drive consensus across competing priorities
- You have 7+ years in digital strategy, patient engagement, or healthcare CRM with at least 2 years in a product owner or strategy leadership role
- You're looking for remote flexibility; this is strictly on-site in San Rafael
- You need hands-off roles; this is hands-on leadership requiring deep Salesforce and omnichannel design involvement
- You lack healthcare compliance knowledge (HIPAA, GDPR, regional privacy); the role demands it from day one
