The Challenge
Condé Nast Traveler needs someone to own their US social presence across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and emerging platforms. You'll drive traffic, engagement, and audience loyalty for one of the world's most influential travel brands while reporting directly to the Global Director of Social.
Your Mission
Audit and optimize CNT US social strategy across all platforms; establish baseline KPIs and reporting cadence
Create and execute 30+ pieces of on-brand social content; test formats and messaging to identify top performers
Build working relationships with editorial, video, design, and audience development teams; establish content collaboration workflows
Launch at least 2 new content initiatives (trends, formats, or partnerships) and measure impact on engagement and traffic
Grow engaged followers by 25%+ and increase month-over-month traffic from social channels by 40%+
Establish CNT US as a thought leader on TikTok and emerging platforms; achieve viral performance on at least 3 pieces of content
Develop and execute quarterly social strategy calendar aligned with editorial calendar and seasonal travel trends
Optimize audience development partnerships; document learnings and share best practices across Condé Nast social team

Track likes, comments, shares, and saves across platforms as primary indicator of content resonance.
Traffic from Social
Measure click-through rate and referral traffic from social platforms to Condé Nast Traveler website.
Follower Growth
Monitor month-over-month follower growth across all platforms; segment by platform and content type.
Video Completion Rate
For TikTok and video content, measure average view duration and completion percentage to optimize format and length.
Share of Voice
Compare CNT engagement and reach against competitor travel and lifestyle brands in social landscape.

- You're chronically online and can spot trends on TikTok and emerging platforms before they peak
- You have 3-5 years of professional social media experience managing multiple platforms at scale
- You write sharp copy, understand on-brand visual design, and can shoot/edit quick-turnaround video content
- You're passionate about travel and can translate editorial stories into thumb-stopping social moments
- You're data-driven and comfortable analyzing performance metrics to inform strategy adjustments
- You need remote work flexibility or prefer hybrid arrangements—this is on-site, full-time in NYC
- You lack hands-on social content creation experience or rely entirely on agencies/contractors
- You're not genuinely interested in travel or lifestyle content—passion is table stakes here
