Is This Role For You?

For You If
  • You have 3+ years in product marketing or field applications at an analog IC/semiconductor company—you speak both engineering and customer
  • You're comfortable translating dense technical specs into compelling value propositions and closing pricing negotiations with big customers
  • You thrive in a cross-functional environment; you can influence design teams, align sales on strategy, and ship collateral fast
  • You want to own the full product lifecycle from launch planning through competitive monitoring; metrics and data drive your decisions
  • You hold a BSEE or equivalent; you understand power delivery architectures and can credibly advise customers on solutions
Won't Work If
  • You're looking for remote or hybrid work; this is on-site in San Jose, every day
  • You prefer pure demand generation or brand marketing; this role is heavily technical, applications-driven, and customer-facing
  • You haven't worked in semiconductors or complex B2B hardware; the learning curve on power delivery will be steep without domain experience

Interview Process

1

Phone Screen

Recruiter confirms experience in analog IC marketing/applications; discusses motivation and relocations to San Jose

2

Hiring Manager Interview

Deep-dive on product launch experience, pricing strategy, competitive analysis, and cross-functional collaboration; expect technical questions on power delivery

3

Cross-Functional Panel

Meet with IC design lead, field applications engineer, and sales leader; discuss how you'd approach a real launch scenario

4

Case Study / Take-home

Likely a competitive analysis, GTM planning, or pricing scenario based on real MPS product; show your thinking and data sources
