Intellect Design Arena is building the next-gen insurance tech stack for global financial institutions. You'll own the complete go-to-market for their underwriting platform in Commercial & Specialty Insurance—a $100B+ market with massive inefficiencies in loss ratios and expense management.
Your Mission
Map competitive landscape across 8-10 key underwriting vendors; identify 3-5 immediate differentiation angles for IntellectAI
Establish relationships with 5-8 key prospects in Commercial Insurance; validate product-market fit through discovery calls
Define underwriting GTM positioning framework (messaging, value props, buyer personas) for Specialty, Property, and Casualty lines
Deliver first 2 customer reference case studies demonstrating measurable loss ratio or expense reduction impact
Close 3-5 enterprise deals in Commercial Insurance with total ACV >$2M; establish repeatable sales motion
Build advisory board of 8-10 industry practitioners to shape product roadmap and validate emerging trends
Generate 10+ qualified pipeline opportunities through strategic partnerships with MGAs and brokers
Present industry insights at 2 key insurance conferences; establish thought leadership in underwriting automation

Measure deal close rate against identified competitive set in underwriting solutions space.

- You spent 15+ years as an underwriting or insurance ops leader at a major carrier or MGA and understand loss ratio and expense drivers deeply
- You thrive owning a complete GTM strategy—positioning, competitive strategy, customer relationships, and revenue targets
- You can translate complex insurance domain knowledge into clear value props for technical buyers and C-suite
- You want to build a product go-to-market from scratch and shape how the industry perceives a new category (underwriting automation)
- You're a pure-play sales hire looking to execute a pre-built GTM; this role requires strategic design alongside execution
- Your insurance experience is retail/personal lines only; this is Commercial & Specialty—fundamentally different risk models and buyer psychology
- You lack hands-on experience closing enterprise deals or building customer advisory boards; this is VP-level business development, not coordination
