The Challenge

A hyper-growth company in an innovative industry needs someone to be the operational spine of their marketing org. You'll design and scale the systems, workflows, and frameworks that let multiple marketing sub-teams execute faster and more effectively.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Audit current marketing workflows across all sub-teams and identify top 5 operational bottlenecks blocking execution velocity

2

Select and implement project management stack (Asana/Jira/alternative) as unified system of record for all marketing projects

3

Design and roll out standardized intake, briefing, and approval workflows that reduce project cycle time by 20%

4

Establish monthly operations review cadence with marketing leadership to track KPIs and operational health metrics

By 6 Months
1

Build and deliver first quarterly business review (QBR) package with synthesized KPIs, project status, and budget reconciliation for exec leadership

2

Lead full annual planning cycle including OKR setting, resource allocation, and project roadmap translation across all marketing teams

3

Implement post-mortem/retrospective process for high-priority projects and convert learnings into 3+ documented process improvements

4

Achieve 90%+ on-time project delivery rate across tracked initiatives and reduce budget variance to <5%

Is This Role For You?

For You If
  • You're a systems thinker who gets excited about designing scalable processes and workflows from scratch
  • You've managed marketing operations or project management in a fast-paced, multi-team environment and have concrete process wins to show for it
  • You're proficient in modern project management tools (Asana, Jira, etc.) and love integrating tech stacks to create unified systems of record
  • You're comfortable presenting to executives, managing budgets, and translating strategy into executable roadmaps
  • You thrive in ambiguity and can work across diverse marketing functions (content, campaigns, product launches, etc.)
Won't Work If
  • You want to stay hands-on with campaign execution—this is pure ops and strategy, not marketing tactics
  • You're remote-first; this is on-site in Foster City, CA with no flexibility mentioned
  • You lack direct project management or operations management experience; they need someone battle-tested, not learning on the job

4

Cross-Functional Debrief

Conversations with 1-2 key marketing leads to assess collaboration style and understanding of different sub-team needs
