The Challenge
Universal Music France is the dominant force in music entertainment across recorded music, publishing, and content. You'll drive digital innovation for major labels and artists, owning strategy on Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, and YouTube—where every playlist placement and campaign optimization directly impacts artist visibility and revenue.
Your Mission
Audit and optimize digital strategies for 3-5 priority label/artist projects; establish baseline KPIs on streaming performance across DSPs
Build relationships with playlist editors at Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, YouTube, Amazon Music; secure 2-3 strategic album partnerships
Create a digital strategy playbook and content optimization framework for labels to replicate across projects
Own end-to-end performance tracking setup; deliver weekly performance reports to 5+ labels on title performance and campaign ROI
Scale digital strategy support to 8-10 active label/artist partnerships with measurable uplift in playlist placements and stream velocity
Lead 5+ successful album launch campaigns with documented improvements in pre-order conversion, playlist adds, and first-week streaming performance
Develop predictive models for streaming success based on content strategy, timing, and DSP partnerships; share insights across the organization
Launch a quarterly digital strategy summit with labels sharing best practices and case studies from your campaigns

Percentage of singles securing editorial playlist placements across major DSPs within 2 weeks of release
Stream Velocity (First 4 Weeks)
Growth in total streams per title; target 15-25% increase vs. prior baseline based on optimized strategy
Campaign ROI (Marketing Spend to Revenue)
Ratio of promotional investment to incremental revenue generated from streaming and partnerships
Label Satisfaction / Adoption Rate
Percentage of labels implementing your digital strategies and returning for new projects
DSP Partnership Deals Closed
Number of secured album partnerships, playlist promotions, and exclusive content placements per quarter

- You have 3+ years of hands-on experience in music, entertainment, social media, or media strategy
- You understand streaming platform ecosystems (Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, YouTube) and playlist dynamics intimately
- You're obsessed with music and genuinely passionate about helping artists succeed in the digital era
- You're analytical, data-driven, and can translate KPIs into actionable strategy recommendations for non-technical stakeholders
- You've never engaged deeply with music streaming platforms or lack knowledge of DSP ecosystems
- You prefer solo work; this role requires constant coordination across labels, teams (Curation, Business Dev, Data), and external DSP partners
- You're not comfortable with on-site work in Paris 5ème; this is a 100% in-office role
Interview Process
Screening Call
15-20 min conversation on your background in digital marketing, music industry experience, and understanding of streaming platforms
Competency Interview
45 min deep dive on digital strategy examples, DSP partnership experience, and how you've optimized artist/label campaigns
Stakeholder Meeting
30-45 min session with 1-2 label partners or artists to assess your ability to advise and support their digital strategies
