The Challenge

Searchability is building the AI operating system for supply chain logistics—backed by serious funding and experienced founders. You're coming in as their first Head of Marketing to architect the entire demand engine from scratch and establish category leadership.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Define and lock brand positioning, messaging pillars, and go-to-market strategy with founders and sales

Launch paid acquisition strategy on LinkedIn and Google with baseline CAC and conversion benchmarks

Build marketing team hiring plan and onboard first 1-2 direct reports (demand gen, content, or events lead)

4

Secure speaking slots and sponsorships at 2-3 tier-1 supply chain or AI conferences

By 6 Months
1

Drive 200+ qualified pipeline opportunities monthly through paid, organic, and event channels combined

2

Launch and execute 2 owned thought leadership events or webinar series (minimum 150 registrations each)

Establish organic social and content calendar generating 500+ monthly engaged followers across LinkedIn/Twitter

4

Build marketing attribution model and prove marketing-sourced revenue impact to the exec team

KPIs You'll Own

Monthly pipeline generated

Qualified opportunities created by marketing (paid, organic, events, direct) tracked to revenue impact.

CAC and payback period

Cost per acquisition across channels and how long it takes to recoup via customer lifetime value.

Event ROI

Leads, pipeline value, and deals closed attributed to events and sponsorships vs. total spend.

Organic growth rate

Month-over-month growth in followers, engagement, and organic traffic to site and content.

Brand awareness lift

Aided/unaided awareness among target supply chain decision-makers (surveyed quarterly).

Is This Role For You?

For You If
  • You've built marketing from 0→1 or 1→10 at a B2B SaaS startup and loved owning the whole funnel
  • You're comfortable jumping between strategy (brand positioning, GTM) and execution (running LinkedIn campaigns, managing events)
  • You have direct experience marketing technical/enterprise products (SaaS, AI, supply chain, logistics) to decision-makers
  • You thrive in ambiguity, can move fast, and enjoy building playbooks and team processes alongside the founders
Won't Work If
  • You need a fully staffed marketing team handed to you—you're building this from zero
  • You're not willing to relocate to SF or work fully on-site; this role requires in-person collaboration
  • You've only done single-channel marketing (e.g., just paid ads or just content) without multi-channel P&L ownership

Discuss your track record in 0→1 or 1→10 marketing roles, focusing on how you built demand gen and teams

Strategy deep-dive

Walk through a GTM or brand positioning case study from your past; discuss multi-channel marketing approach

Founder meeting

Conversation with CEO/co-founders on vision, product roadmap, competitive landscape, and marketing philosophy

Sales/product alignment

Chat with head of sales or product to validate how you'd work cross-functionally and prioritize pipeline
