The Challenge
Publicis Connected Media is the SEO hub of a 27-agency global network with serious budgets and major-brand clients. You'll lead 2-5 SEO specialists while owning 1-2 flagship accounts—no middle-management overhead, real strategy work, real impact.
Your Mission
Establish weekly 1-to-1 cadence with team; assess skill gaps and design mentoring roadmap for junior profiles
Audit and document SEO strategy/playbooks for your 1-2 accounts; identify quick wins on technical/content/authority pillars
Build trust with client stakeholders (marketing, IT, partner agencies); schedule quarterly review cadence
Audit team tooling stack (Search Console, Screaming Frog, Semrush, Oncrawl); ensure everyone has access and training
Deliver measurable organic traffic/ranking gains on 1-2 accounts; establish baseline metrics and monthly reporting
Promote or certify at least one junior team member through structured skill development; run internal training sessions
Lead 1-2 external speaking opportunities (SMX, JAO, industry conference) or publish thought-piece on AI/LLM impact on SEO
Implement cross-account best-practice framework; document repeatable SEO processes to scale across team
KPIs You'll Own
Organic Traffic Growth
Month-over-month and YoY increase in sessions/users across managed accounts; track by segment and intent.
Ranking Performance (SERP Visibility)
Position changes for target keywords; monitor visibility index and compare vs. competitors.
Team Capacity & Utilization
Hours billed/forecasted vs. actual; billability rate and workload distribution across 2-5 team members.
Team Development Score
Number of skill certifications, internal promotions, and junior profile progression in first 12 months.
Client Satisfaction NPS
Quarterly feedback from account stakeholders on strategy, communication, and results delivery.

- You've shipped 4-5 years of SEO strategy (agency or in-house multi-account experience) and want to level up into leadership without leaving hands-on work
- You're fluent in the three pillars—technical SEO, content strategy, and link building—and can audit complex sites confidently
- You thrive mentoring juniors and structuring chaos; you give frank, kind feedback and build psychological safety
- You're curious about AI/LLMs and their impact on organic search; you stay sharp on algorithm shifts and tooling
- You're comfortable in client-facing roles: kickoff meetings, quarterly reviews, internal pitches, and external talks
- You prefer pure individual contribution; this role is 40% team leadership, 60% account strategy—no getting around it
- You're uncomfortable with ambiguity or prefer rigid process; Publicis moves fast and you'll need to build frameworks yourself
- Your English is weak; several accounts have international dimensions and you'll need fluency in client calls and documentation

SEO audit or strategy brief on a real (anonymized) account; you'll present findings and recommendations in follow-up call.
