Function
Limagrain Europe is looking for a Sunflower Marketing Lead to drive the performance and long-term development of its sunflower crop business across Europe. In this strategic role, you will define and execute the crop vision, lead a cross-functional team, and manage a competitive product portfolio to deliver sustainable growth, profitability and market leadership.
Strategy and portfolio leadership
- Define and lead the European sunflower crop strategy and roadmap
- Build and manage a competitive and profitable portfolio aligned with market needs
- Identify market trends, competitive gaps and growth opportunities across geographies
- Drive product lifecycle management, from development to phase-out
- Define product positioning, segmentation and pricing strategy
- Lead and coordinate a multifunctional crop team (Research, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Business)
- Directly manage the Sunflower Development team (5 people)
- Ensure alignment between strategic vision and execution across all stakeholders
- Foster collaboration across Business Areas and global functions
- Define and steer the go-to-market strategy
- Align with commercial teams on portfolio offering, positioning and channel strategy
- Support market expansion initiatives, partnerships and demand generation
- Contribute to licensing strategies to strengthen the portfolio
- Monitor business performance through key KPIs (market share, margins, COGS, profitability)
- Contribute to supply strategy and S&OP processes
- Challenge forecasts and ensure optimal portfolio availability
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and cost structure
- Represent Limagrain in governance bodies
- Contribute to breeding orientation and long-term innovation strategies
- Lead, coach and develop team members
- Foster a high-performance and collaborative culture
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards and regulations
- Master’s degree in Agronomy or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of experience in sales, marketing or product development in the seed industry
- Strong expertise in sunflower crop and its ecosystem
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities
- Proven leadership and cross-functional management skills
- Deep understanding of agronomy, market dynamics and value chains
- Ability to influence, negotiate and drive change in a matrix environment
- Results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Customer-centric mindset and solution-oriented approach
- Fluent in English
