The Challenge
Kanopy is building the next generation of growth services by combining traditional digital marketing with applied AI systems—voice agents, automation, intelligent workflows. You'll own the revenue engine and help define how AI-powered growth gets sold to founders and operators who actually need it.
Your Mission
Establish and qualify pipeline of 15-20 high-fit prospects through outbound, partnerships, and network activation
Close 2-3 initial clients to validate sales process, messaging, and pricing around AI offerings
Map discovery framework that uncovers operational pain points and AI fit vs. traditional solutions
Document positioning and packaging for core AI products (voice agents, automation, lead handling)
Hit $250K-$400K in closed annual contract value (target 6-8 clients at mid-market price points)
Build repeatable outbound system with 30%+ qualification rate and documented sales playbook
Establish 5-10 strategic partnerships or referral sources that generate inbound pipeline
Refine go-to-market strategy based on early wins and feedback; present recommendations to leadership
KPIs You'll Own
Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) from new clients
Track new ARR closed each month; target $20K-$35K monthly new MRR by month 6.
Sales cycle length
Measure time from first discovery call to signed contract; aim for 30-45 days average.
Qualification rate
Percentage of outreach conversations that advance to paid discovery or proposal stage.
Client fit score
Qualitative assessment of how well closed clients align with Kanopy's values and AI-forward positioning.
Proposal-to-close rate
Win rate on proposals presented; track to identify messaging and positioning gaps.

- You're uncomfortable with the financial risk of a 1099 structure and building your own pipeline from scratch
