The Challenge
Hello Watt is scaling fast in the energy transition space and needs someone who can write and optimize content that actually ranks and converts. You'll work directly with their Content Manager and SEO lead to own the blog strategy that drives organic growth.
Your Mission
Ship 12-15 optimized blog posts targeting high-intent energy transition keywords with measurable organic traffic
Audit and optimize 20+ existing pages for on-page SEO (meta tags, structure, internal linking)
Build SEO content brief template and workflow that scales across the team
Establish baseline organic traffic, keyword rankings, and content performance dashboard
Increase organic traffic by 40-50% through consistent, SEO-optimized publishing schedule
Achieve first-page rankings for 15+ target keywords in energy/sustainability niche
Create reusable content templates and style guides that reduce revision cycles by 30%
Test and implement 3+ new content formats (video briefs, interactive tools, case studies) that improve engagement

- You're genuinely excited about energy/sustainability and can write about it without it feeling like a job
- You understand SEO fundamentals and want to level up (keyword research, on-page optimization, technical SEO basics)
- You can write 1000+ word posts that rank *and* convert—not just listicles
- You're self-directed and can manage your own publishing schedule without constant hand-holding
- You're willing to get hands-on: learn tools, test tactics, iterate based on data
- You treat SEO as checkbox optimization rather than user-first writing
- You need remote flexibility—this is on-site Paris, no negotiation
- You're not comfortable writing about energy, consumption, or sustainability topics
- You expect to just write; you need to own performance metrics and iterate
Interview Process
Initial screening
Conversation with recruiter about SEO knowledge and writing samples
Content test
Write 1 optimized blog post (500-800 words) on an energy/sustainability topic, show SEO thinking
Team interviews
