The Challenge
Essor scales challenger consumer brands into global icons across health, wellness, and lifestyle categories. You'll lead marketing strategy for a portfolio of 10+ rapidly growing brands sold on Amazon, DTC, and major retailers. This is your chance to own e-commerce growth at scale—translating brand vision into performance across content, social, CRM, and paid media.
Your Mission
Audit current marketing performance across all 6 brands and establish baseline KPIs for e-commerce channels, content engagement, and customer LTV
Build and align your 4-person content team on unified brand messaging frameworks and creative guidelines across packaging, social, and digital touchpoints
Map and optimize the customer lifecycle strategy across email, SMS, and on-platform channels to identify quick wins for repeat purchase and retention
Partner with Commercial team to define off-platform media strategy (Meta, TikTok, YouTube) with clear budget allocation and performance targets
Drive measurable lift in customer LTV and repeat purchase rates through refined CRM campaigns and lifecycle messaging aligned to brand positioning
Establish brand consistency and visual coherence across all consumer touchpoints; measure brand health metrics (awareness, consideration, purchase intent)
Scale high-performing content and creative formats; build repeatable content production processes across the 4-brand portfolio
Deliver 15-25% improvement in off-platform media ROAS through creative refinement, audience segmentation, and continuous testing
KPIs You'll Own
Customer Lifetime Value (LTV)
Track repeat purchase rates and revenue per customer across DTC and Amazon channels; target month-over-month growth of 8-12%.
Email & SMS Engagement
Monitor open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates for lifecycle campaigns; benchmark against industry standards (15-20% open, 2-5% CTR).
Off-Platform ROAS
Return on ad spend across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube; target minimum 3:1 ROAS with continuous A/B testing on creative and messaging.
Brand Consistency Score
Internal audit of packaging, content, and digital touchpoints against brand guidelines; aim for 95%+ alignment across all brands.
Content Production Velocity
Number of high-quality social posts, email campaigns, and creative assets shipped per month; target 20-30 assets across channels.

Is This Role For You?
- You've scaled e-commerce or DTC marketing for 3–5 years and can translate brand strategy into measurable growth across multiple channels
- You live and breathe brand consistency—visual design, messaging coherence, and customer experience matter deeply to you
- You're comfortable managing a small creative team, briefing designers, and evaluating creative output with strategic intent
- You thrive in fast-paced, multi-brand environments where you juggle strategy, execution, and cross-functional collaboration daily
- You're strictly a strategist who doesn't want to roll up your sleeves on execution, creative briefs, or hands-on campaign management
- You need significant remote flexibility—this is 100% on-site in Paris and you're not based there
- You haven't worked in e-commerce or DTC and lack familiarity with channels like Meta, TikTok, email marketing, or Amazon
Interview Process
Initial Screening
Conversation with recruiter to validate e-commerce background, familiarity with Essor's brands, and interest in Paris-based role.
Hiring Manager Interview
1:1 with BU Director covering brand strategy translation, team leadership experience, and approach to multi-brand marketing execution.
Cross-Functional Panel
Meeting with Brand Manager(s) and Commercial lead to discuss collaboration style, strategic alignment, and real-world examples of past campaign success.
Creative Brief Exercise
Take-home assignment: write a creative brief for a hypothetical campaign across 2–3 brands, demonstrating strategic thinking and clarity of creative direction.
