The Challenge

Citi Wealth is building the next generation of digital platforms for ultra-high-net-worth clients and advisors. You'll architect the global digital strategy from the ground up-owning everything from .com to advisor platforms-and cement digital as the core engine of growth and brand differentiation.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Audit current digital touchpoints across Citigold, CPC, Citi Private Bank, and Wealth at Work-identify gaps, compliance risks, and UX friction points

Define and socialize the global digital roadmap with product, design, regional leads, and senior stakeholders; lock in strategic priorities and governance model

Establish baseline KPI framework and measurement infrastructure across all digital channels-website traffic, email engagement, advisor adoption, conversion lift

4

Assess existing martech stack (CMS, marketing automation, personalization, analytics)-recommend tools, integrations, and modernization roadmap

By 6 Months
1

Launch optimized digital experience across at least two key platforms (e.g., Citigold digital onboarding, advisor portal redesign) with measurable lift in engagement or conversion

Build and operationalize global digital governance model-brand standards, regulatory compliance, approval workflows-rolled out across all regions

Scale digital team-hire 3-4 specialists (performance marketing, personalization, content ops); establish agency partner relationships and vendor management cadence

Deliver executive-ready monthly digital performance dashboard-track website KPIs, campaign attribution, advisor activation rates, sentiment signals across channels

KPIs You'll Own

Digital Channel Engagement Rate

Track email open/click rates, web session depth, advisor platform usage-benchmark against wealth management industry standards and month-over-month lift.

Client Conversion Funnel (by Segment)

Measure qualification-to-account-opening rates across Citigold, CPC, and Private Bank segments-isolate digital touchpoint contribution.

Advisor Activation & Adoption

Monitor advisor portal login frequency, feature usage, content engagement-proxy for advisor enablement and client-facing impact.

Brand Consistency & Compliance Score

Audit digital touchpoints quarterly for brand alignment and regulatory adherence-flag violations, track remediation time.

Cross-Channel Attribution ROI

Model revenue influence of digital channels (web, email, social, display)-show which channels drive highest-value client segments.

  • You've led digital transformation at a Fortune 500 financial services or wealth management firm and understand regulatory constraints (compliance, AML, data privacy)
  • You're equally comfortable with strategy and execution-can define a 3-year roadmap but also roll up sleeves to unblock a platform launch
  • You've built and scaled digital teams, managed agency partners, and owned martech infrastructure from selection through optimization
  • You thrive in matrix organizations and can influence without direct authority-think product, design, risk, regional teams as true partners, not obstacles
  • You measure everything and can translate digital metrics into business impact (client acquisition cost, lifetime value, advisor productivity, revenue influence)
Won't Work If
  • You expect full remote or want to avoid New York-this role is on-site and requires close collaboration with Citi HQ leadership
  • You're a pure strategist uncomfortable with implementation details or hands-on problem-solving; Citi expects the head of digital to also drive execution rigor
  • You lack experience in highly regulated industries or find compliance conversations tedious-wealth management digital is deeply governed by risk, legal, and regulatory teams
  • You're looking to move fast and break things; Citi's culture is risk-conscious and change-managed. You'll need patience and stakeholder alignment.
