The Challenge

BuildingGreen is the industry's oldest continuous green building publication, serving top universities and architecture firms with premium, ad-free content. You'll own the digital strategy that keeps architects and sustainability leaders engaged across email, social, and web.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Audit current analytics setup and implement comprehensive digital tracking across website, email campaigns, and social channels

Launch 2 coordinated email + social campaigns around upcoming quarterly issues with baseline open and click rates

3

Build and optimize landing pages for subscription and lead magnet conversion with clear CTAs

4

Establish monthly reporting cadence with KPI dashboard covering site traffic, issue engagement, and campaign performance

By 6 Months
1

Increase monthly website traffic by 25% through SEO-optimized content placement and strategic article distribution

Achieve 35%+ email open rates and 8%+ click-through rates through segmented campaigns and A/B testing

3

Scale lead generation pipeline with 150+ qualified leads per quarter from landing pages and gated content

4

Build and manage 3+ strategic partner campaigns with coordinated promotion across channels

Target 35%+ opens on campaign sends vs. industry baseline of 20-25% for B2B

Website Traffic Growth

Is This Role For You?

For You If
  • You have 3-5 years hands-on digital marketing experience with proven email and analytics work
  • You're fluent in Pardot, Mailchimp, or similar marketing automation platforms
  • You care about sustainability and architecture (or can get excited about the mission quickly)
  • You thrive setting up systems, tracking data, and reporting on what actually moves the needle
Won't Work If
  • You need remote flexibility-this is on-site only
  • You're uncomfortable with hands-on execution; you want to be a pure strategist above the work
  • You don't have direct experience with email marketing automation platforms or analytics setup
