The Challenge

Bitstack is a YC-backed crypto-native bank with 300K+ users reshaping how people save and spend money. You'll own the growth engine—turning user behavior into durable, compounding growth across activation, retention, and revenue.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Define and instrument core growth metrics (activation rate, day-7/day-30 retention, referral coefficient, LTV) with event tracking in place

2

Diagnose top 3 funnel drop-offs in onboarding and propose 2 high-impact experiments to reduce friction and accelerate time-to-value

3

Ship and measure first 3 growth experiments (onboarding variant, referral mechanic, or engagement nudge) with clear win/lose criteria

4

Build cross-functional rhythm: establish weekly sync with product, design, and engineering; align on hypothesis-driven experimentation process

By 6 Months
1

Improve activation rate by 15-25% through onboarding optimization and aha-moment sequencing; demonstrate measurable impact on cohort LTV

2

Launch and validate referral/viral loop; measure invite rate, viral coefficient, and organic growth contribution to new user acquisition

3

Increase day-30 retention by 10-15% through targeted lifecycle triggers, re-engagement campaigns, and habit-forming product features

4

Design and test 2-3 monetization experiments (pricing tiers, premium features, upsell mechanics); validate revenue per user uplift

KPIs You'll Own

Activation Rate

% of new users reaching key 'aha' moment (first buy, wallet setup, etc.) within day-1 or day-7

Day-7 & Day-30 Retention

% of cohort returning on day-7 and day-30; primary driver of LTV and sustainable growth

Referral Coefficient

New users generated per existing user; direct measure of viral loop health and organic growth efficiency

Revenue Per User (RPU)

Average lifetime value driven by monetization features; success metric for pricing and upsell experiments

Experiment Velocity

Number of high-quality experiments shipped and measured per month; cadence of learning and iteration

Is This Role For You?

For You If
  • You've shipped growth experiments at a B2C startup and can tie them to concrete, measurable wins in activation, retention, or revenue
  • You think in funnels, cohorts, and retention curves—and you're comfortable pulling raw data to validate hypotheses
  • You thrive in flat, fast-paced environments where you collaborate directly with engineers and designers to move at speed
  • You're genuinely interested in fintech, crypto, or financial inclusion as a mission—not just the growth mechanics
  • You love squashing ambiguity: you can go from messy user behavior to a clear hypothesis and testable experiment
Won't Work If
  • You're expecting a traditional marketing or GTM role—this is product-side growth with heavy emphasis on building, not campaigns
  • You need remote flexibility or don't want to be in Paris 5 days/week (hard on-site requirement)
  • You struggle with SQL, analytics tools (Amplitude/Metabase), or interpreting raw data—this role is deeply analytical

Interview Process

1

Intro Call

Chat with recruiter or hiring manager about your growth background, metric improvements you've driven, and why Bitstack interests you

2

Growth Case Study

Walk through a real experiment you shipped—hypothesis, design, results, and learnings. Be specific on metrics and iteration

3

Analytical Screen

Data challenge: analyze a sample dataset, form hypotheses, and propose next experiments. Tests SQL comfort and funnel thinking

4

Team Interviews

Meet Head of Growth (or equivalent), a designer, and an engineer. Assess collaboration style and product judgment

5

Final Discussion

Conversation with founder or CEO on mission fit, growth vision for Bitstack, and your long-term goals
