The Challenge

YATEO is a digital marketing agency hunting for an SEO consultant to own client strategy from discovery to results. You'll manage full-cycle SEO programs—from audits to link-building campaigns to performance reporting—while staying ahead of algorithm shifts and AI's impact on organic search.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Complete 3-5 full SEO audits (technical + content) and deliver actionable roadmaps to clients

Establish baseline KPIs and reporting dashboards for assigned client portfolio

Conduct competitive benchmarking for 2+ accounts and identify quick wins to implement

4

Shadow sales team on 5+ client calls to understand YATEO's sales motion and refine pre-audit process

By 6 Months
1

Drive measurable organic traffic growth (target: +20-30% YoY) across managed client accounts

Execute and manage 3+ netlinking campaigns end-to-end, tracking placements and impact on domain authority

3

Own keyword strategy refresh for all accounts aligned with latest algorithm updates and AI implications

4

Present thought leadership content (blog post, webinar, or framework) on AI's role in future SEO strategy

KPIs You'll Own

Organic Traffic Growth

Month-over-month and YoY growth rate on managed accounts, broken by branded vs. non-branded.

Keyword Ranking Improvements

Number of keywords in top 3, top 10, and top 20 positions; track velocity of movement.

Domain Authority / Backlink Profile

Increase in domain authority, referring domains, and quality of backlinks acquired via netlinking campaigns.

Client Satisfaction & Retention

Net Promoter Score (NPS) from assigned clients and zero churn on managed accounts.

Variable Comp Attainment

Monthly bonus tied to performance KPIs of assigned accounts (transparent, uncapped upside).

Is This Role For You?

For You If
  • You've shipped 2+ years of SEO strategy work in an agency and can speak fluently about technical audits, keyword research, and campaign ROI.
  • You're genuinely curious about how AI (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) is reshaping content strategy and SEO and want to experiment with those tools.
  • You're comfortable juggling client relationships, reporting, and hands-on execution—and you're a crisp communicator in writing.
  • You want uncapped variable comp and are confident you can deliver measurable results that ladder into your paycheck.
Won't Work If
  • You need 100% remote or flexibility—this is on-site in Paris with only 2 days/week flex.
  • You're looking for a junior role or need extensive hand-holding; this expects ownership and autonomy.
  • You haven't worked in an agency SEO role or lack hands-on experience with tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, and GSC.
