POSITION SUMMARY

Rare Beauty is seeking a Senior Director of Consumer Marketing to lead best-in-class global go-to-market strategies that drive online conversation, cultural relevance, and deep brand affinity. This role partners closely cross functionally and with our global retail partners to deliver impactful, multi-channel campaigns across 30+ markets. The ideal candidate brings strong consumer marketing expertise, a proven ability to build cross-functional partnerships, and a track record of executing for a high-profile global brand. We’re looking for someone who is tenacious, creative, and analytical, with a strong pulse on culture. Some travel is required.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the global consumer marketing strategy and calendar, driving culturally relevant, conversation-driving campaigns across paid, owned, and earned channels.
  • Own end-to-end go-to-market planning for launches and always-on initiatives, ensuring seamless integration across PR, Influencer, Social, Community, Partnerships, DTC, Creative, and Retail Marketing.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing consumer marketing team, setting clear goals, fostering growth, and driving a culture of creativity, accountability, and excellence.
  • Own and allocate the consumer marketing budget, optimizing investment across channels to maximize ROI and business impact.
  • Drive innovation across emerging platforms, technologies, and formats, identifying new ways to engage consumers and keep the brand at the forefront of culture.
  • Champion an omnichannel approach, creating cohesive consumer journeys across digital, in-store, and experiential touchpoints in close partnership with key retail partners.
  • Partner cross-functionally to develop and execute high-impact 360 campaigns that build brand equity, drive engagement, and deliver measurable business results.
  • Establish clear performance frameworks, leveraging data and insights to optimize campaigns, unlock growth opportunities, and inform future strategy.
  • Build and lead strong cross-functional and external partnerships, aligning teams against clear priorities, timelines, and KPIs while fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture.
  • Own senior relationships with global retail partners, developing joint marketing strategies that drive traffic, conversion, and brand visibility.
  • Ensure brand consistency and excellence across all markets, while allowing for local nuance and cultural relevance.
  • Stay ahead of cultural, consumer, and platform trends, translating insights into actionable strategies that keep the brand at the forefront of conversation.
  • Present strategic plans and performance updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders, adapting quickly based on feedback and evolving business needs.


REQUIREMENTS

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing or brand management on beauty brand or agency side; beauty expertise at a global scale is preferred.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing best-in-class global go-to-market strategies and culturally resonant campaigns that drive measurable impact.
  • Deep experience building consumer-centric brands, with a strong understanding of community, culture, and conversation in modern marketing.
  • Expertise in leading large-scale, integrated 360 campaigns across digital, social, retail, and experiential channels on a global scale.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-priority launches and campaigns simultaneously, partnering across complex internal and external stakeholder groups.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments; agile and solutions-oriented.
  • Strong strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into clear plans and flawless execution.
  • Data-driven, with a passion for consumer insights, performance marketing, and leveraging cultural and platform trends to inform strategy.
  • Exceptional leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills.
  • Highly organized with strong project management capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
