The Challenge
Momentive is a global specialty materials leader in polyurethane additives. You'll be the technical bridge between customers, sales, and R&D—driving product adoption and revenue growth in the flexible slabstock foam market across North America by solving real manufacturing problems at customer sites.
Your Mission
Complete 6+ on-site customer visits, document trial results, and identify 3 near-term product qualification opportunities
Shadow existing FME network and absorb slabstock foam manufacturing process knowledge; build competency in silicone surfactants and catalyst chemistry
Deliver 2 technical training sessions to key distributors or customers; create feedback loop documenting Voice of Customer insights
Establish baseline competitive intelligence on polyurethane additives market; identify 2-3 regulatory trends impacting NAM formulations
Execute 4+ commercial trials from concept to completion; track conversion rate of trial participation to actual orders
Support launch of 1 new product concept in NAM region through field validation and refinement; measure customer feedback sentiment
Develop 3-5 technical guides, application notes, or training materials used by sales and distributor teams
Grow qualified pipeline by 15-20% through technical demonstrations and product value prop communications; track leads generated and conversion metrics

Customer Trial Conversion Rate
Percentage of product evaluations that convert to commercial orders or expanded adoption within 6 months.
On-Site Visits & Troubleshooting Closure
Number of successful customer facility visits completed, issues resolved, and documented outcomes per quarter.
Voice of Customer Insights Delivered
Count of documented customer feedback submissions to product development and marketing teams that influence roadmap decisions.
Technical Content & Training Delivered
Number of training sessions, technical guides, and application notes completed and adoption rate among sales and distributor teams.
Competitive & Regulatory Intelligence
Quarterly market trend reports documenting competitor moves, regulatory shifts, and emerging customer needs in slabstock foam.
