The Challenge

Farther Finance is building the modern wealth management platform for HNW and institutional clients. You'll own end-to-end marketing strategy and execution for their highest-value segments, designing campaigns and enablement materials that drive qualified leads and advisor wins.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Define and document HNW/UHNW positioning, messaging framework, and value propositions; socialize across product, sales, and advisor teams

Map existing marketing tech stack; set up marketing automation platform (or optimize current) for segmentation, personalization, and AI-enabled drip campaigns

3

Launch 2-3 targeted digital campaigns (email, webinar, content) to HNW and 401k plan sponsor audiences; establish baseline lead volume and conversion metrics

4

Create initial sales enablement kit: 5-7 core assets (decks, one-pagers, playbooks, email templates) for advisors to win institutional mandates

By 6 Months
1

Scale integrated HNW/institutional campaign portfolio; achieve target lead volume and cost-per-lead across email, digital, and event channels

Build and refine multi-channel nurture journeys; optimize conversion funnel from lead to qualified opportunity and track ROI by segment

3

Mature RFP and institutional sales materials; serve as QA/editorial lead; establish repeatable process for content updates and version control

4

Partner with Corporate/Brand Marketing to integrate segment priorities into broader content calendar; report monthly on segment performance vs. company KPIs

KPIs You'll Own

Qualified Leads by Segment

Track lead volume, source, and quality score for HNW, UHNW, 401k sponsors, and institutional audiences; tie to cost-per-lead.

Conversion Rate (Lead to Opportunity to Client)

Measure progression through sales funnel; identify bottlenecks and optimize messaging and enablement materials to accelerate conversion.

AUM / Revenue from Enterprise Segments

Link marketing activities directly to revenue and assets under management growth; report monthly contribution by segment and campaign.

Campaign Performance (Email, Webinar, Digital)

Monitor open rate, click-through rate, conversion rate, and engagement velocity; iterate on messaging, timing, and targeting.

Sales Enablement Adoption

Track advisor and institutional team usage of marketing materials; gather feedback and iterate on decks, playbooks, and templates.

Is This Role For You?

For You If
  • You've spent 5+ years in financial services or wealth management marketing and actually understand HNW/UHNW buyer psychology and institutional RFP processes
  • You're equally comfortable with strategy (defining positioning, segments, go-to-market) and execution (building decks, running campaigns, managing drip sequences in marketing automation)
  • You obsess over linking marketing output to business outcomes: leads, conversion rates, AUM, revenue—not vanity metrics
  • You thrive in fast-moving, collaborative environments where you'll partner closely with sales, product, and brand teams to move the needle
Won't Work If
  • You prefer pure strategy or pure execution; this role requires 70% hands-on work initially
  • You've only worked in B2C, early-stage SaaS, or outside financial services; HNW/institutional complexity will frustrate you without domain knowledge
  • You can't own ambiguity and operate without a fully fleshed-out marketing plan on day one; you'll need to design the playbook as you go

Screening call

Hiring manager (CMO or VP Marketing) discusses background, HNW/institutional marketing experience, and familiarity with sales enablement

Portfolio review

Walk through 2-3 campaigns, positioning docs, or sales materials you've built; explain your process, metrics, and impact

3

Strategy exercise

Design a 3-month marketing plan for one Farther segment (HNW or 401k sponsors); present positioning, campaigns, metrics, and enablement ideas

4

Cross-functional interviews

Conversations with VP Sales, Product Lead, or Advisor Marketing Manager to assess collaboration style and familiarity with institutional/enterprise workflows

5

Final round

CEO or CFO conversation; discuss company vision, your long-term growth contribution, and fit with Farther's culture
