The Challenge

Daikin Applied is the world's largest HVAC company and needs a Marketing Engineer to own the go-to-market strategy for their chiller business unit. You'll bridge engineering and sales, translating technical specs into winning products and market positioning.

Your Mission

First 3 Months
1

Master the water-cooled chiller product line: competitive landscape, technical specs, and current market positioning

2

Audit and update all existing marketing collateral (datasheets, selection guides, positioning docs) for accuracy and sales enablement

3

Conduct 10+ customer and sales team interviews to identify top unmet needs and product development opportunities

4

Create a competitive analysis document mapping competitor offerings, pricing, and feature gaps

By 6 Months
1

Lead marketing strategy for 2-3 new product launches or major sustaining product updates

2

Develop and deploy sales selection software or tools that reduce sales cycle time by 15%+

3

Deliver quarterly market trend reports and P&L recommendations that inform product roadmap decisions

4

Establish KPIs for marketing collateral effectiveness and track win rates by product line and customer segment

Collateral Usage & Engagement

Track which sales tools and literature drive the most customer interactions and close rates.

Market Share vs. Competition

Monitor Daikin's chiller market share relative to key competitors in your assigned segments.
