JJELLYFISH is a group of highly trained early-stage sales and GTM experts who support founders cross-functionally with outbound strategies and project delivery. We've been helping early-stage companies build and execute repeatable outbound sales motions for over 10 years and have the highest standards.
The Engagement Lead is the tip of our spear with clients and spans multiple disciplines â sales, demand generation, sales operations, product marketing, business model testing, qualitative analysis, and go-to-market strategy. We spend our time obsessing over our clientsâ businesses and sales models, and how to effect positive change within them. We are responsible for working shoulder-to-shoulder with founding teams to uncover and exploit opportunities for growth.
This contract role will start as part-time with you assigned to one client and can quickly grow to full-time with multiple clients if things are going well

You have 5-8+ years of B2B sales experience; SaaS preferred
You know what it takes to work with and close Fortune 500, six-figure deals
You may have 2-3 years of project management experience (loosely defined)
Youâre committed to pursuing a career in sales (or sales consulting) and love the hustle
You have excellent communication skills and sharp attention to detail
Youâre strong in Excel and PowerPoint (note: we mostly use the Google Suite)
Youâre energized by working across disciplines and can thrive in ambiguity
Youâre action-oriented and set aggressive goals for yourself
You are confident enough to think on your feet and position yourself as the expert in the room, and smart enough to know when to admit you donât have all the answers
You are curious and savvy about different business models and buying behaviors
You understand the tech ecosystem and the language of startups
You enjoy working autonomously but also know how to collaborate
Based in the United States
What youâll do:
Work with startup founders across the globe to build repeatability in their sales process
Engage, learn from, and sell to our clientsâ target markets
Test business model assumptions in new and existing markets
Lead client projects and results delivery in partnership with our team
Help develop frameworks and processes that allow our practice to grow and scale
Ensure high NPS throughout engagements
Conduct market research to inform go-to-market strategies and outreach
Build repeatable B2B demand generation campaigns
Support the design of commercial strategies, market tests, and value propositions
Become a student (if youâre not already) of Customer Development, business model design, go-to-market, & B2B sales
Become a long-term trusted advisor to our clients
Work cross-functionally across the company
