The Challenge
Convatec is a £2B+ FTSE 100 medical device leader in continence care. You'll own the French market strategy, blending global brand direction with local execution while leading a high-performing marketing team and direct-to-consumer advisors.
Your Mission
Assess current brand performance in France, audit competitive landscape, and deliver market analysis to inform local strategy refinement
Onboard and align Marketing & DTC teams on annual brand plan, establishing clear KPIs and campaign roadmap for Q2-Q4
Launch first major campaign or initiative demonstrating multi-channel execution and measurable impact (engagement, conversion, or awareness lift)
Build stakeholder relationships with global marketing, sales, clinical, and cross-functional leaders; identify gaps and collaboration opportunities
Execute 2-3 major product launches or seasonal campaigns with flawless execution, KOL engagement, and medical education support
Grow brand metrics by 15-25% (awareness, engagement, conversion) through optimized digital and traditional channels; prove ROI on A&P spend
Develop and coach Brand Manager and Digital Marketing Specialist toward measurable competency growth; establish performance culture
Deliver quarterly business reviews to Commercial Director with transparent KPI tracking, competitive intelligence, and strategic recommendations for market expansion

Campaign ROI & A&P Efficiency
Track return on marketing spend across channels; target improved conversion and cost-per-acquisition quarter-over-quarter.
Brand Awareness & Engagement
Monitor unaided/aided awareness, share of voice, and engagement rates among HCPs and patients in France.
Product Launch Performance
Measure launch reach, adoption velocity, trial rates, and repeat purchase within first 12 weeks post-launch.
Team Development & Retention
Track direct report skill growth, promotion readiness, engagement scores, and retention of marketing team members.
Market Share Growth
Benchmark continence care market position in France; target incremental share gains vs. competitors.

Is This Role For You?
- You have 10+ years of marketing experience, ideally in medical devices, pharma, or healthcare—and you've led teams before
- You combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution; you don't delegate everything and you roll up your sleeves on campaigns
- You're fluent in digital marketing (channels, analytics, optimization) and comfortable with traditional media in B2B2C environments
- You thrive in complex, regulated markets and love building stakeholder alignment across functions (sales, clinical, global teams)
- You're entrepreneurial, curious, and want to grow people—coaching and developing talent energizes you
- You're looking for a pure strategy role or fully remote setup—this is on-site, hands-on management with team accountability
- You lack experience in healthcare, medical devices, or heavily regulated industries—the compliance and KOL dynamics are critical
- You're uncomfortable with French working culture or unwilling to relocate/commute to Île-de-France regularly
- You avoid people leadership or have no track record of building and coaching high-performing teams
