The Challenge
Cardone Training Technologies is looking for a strategic leader to own their entire lifecycle marketing engine—building retention strategies that drive customer lifetime value through data-driven email and SMS campaigns. You'll lead a small team, collaborate across Paid Media and Sales, and turn behavioral insights into measurable revenue growth.
Your Mission
Audit existing HubSpot automation workflows and lifecycle programs; identify quick wins and optimization opportunities for email/SMS engagement
Establish baseline KPI dashboards for retention, engagement, and LTV; define team structure, processes, and campaign calendar
Launch 2-3 high-impact A/B tests on subject lines, send times, and segmentation to improve open and conversion rates
Align with Paid Media and Sales teams on integrated customer journey mapping and cross-channel strategy
Scale 3-5 new automated lifecycle programs (onboarding, re-engagement, loyalty) with personalized triggers and dynamic content in HubSpot
Increase email engagement rate by 15-25% and SMS conversion rate by 20%+ through testing and segmentation improvements
Build a mature list hygiene and deliverability program; achieve 95%+ inbox placement rate across email sends
Mentor team of 2-3 marketers and establish repeatable processes for campaign ideation, execution, and reporting

Customer Lifetime Value (LTV)
Track total revenue per customer over their relationship; measure impact of retention and reactivation campaigns.
Email Open & Click-Through Rate
Monitor engagement metrics segmented by audience and campaign type to optimize creative and send strategy.
SMS Conversion Rate
Measure revenue generated directly from SMS campaigns relative to sends and cost per acquisition.
Retention & Churn Rate
Track percentage of active customers retained month-over-month and identify cohorts at risk of churn.
Campaign ROI
Calculate revenue generated per dollar spent on lifecycle marketing campaigns and automation.
