# SEO/GEO Expert – Freelance

Join Spaag, a leading marketing agency, as a freelance SEO/GEO Expert. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive SEO audits, develop and execute GEO strategies, manage client editorial roadmaps, and oversee netlinking and authority-building campaigns. You will also build reporting that connects visibility metrics to business outcomes and stay ahead of search and generative AI evolution. This position offers the opportunity to work with multi-sector clients and directly access marketing decision-makers.

### Key Missions

### Profile

- 6+ years in SEO with at least 12 months of hands-on GEO practice, able to show examples of AI-engine visibility work and references.
- Strong technical SEO grounding: crawl/index management, Core Web Vitals, structured data.
- Comfortable presenting audits and roadmaps directly to marketing directors and C-levels, in French and English.
- Freelance status (or equivalent), available for a recurring engagement
- What sets you apart
Prior agency/consulting experience managing a portfolio of accounts across sectors.
- Automation or scripting skills (Python, Make, n8n) applied to SEO/GEO monitoring and reporting.
- A point of view on how generative engines are reshaping the SEO discipline, backed by data you’ve tracked yourself.
- A good copywriting and business understanding

### Recruitment Process

- Introductory call with Spaag’s team (30 min) : mutual fit, master agreement with our freelances
- Technical interview with account director and digital expert. Case discussion: walk through a past CRO project, your method, and your results (45-60 min).
- Spaag network contractualisation before next official mission
- Terms alignment: engagement scope, rate, cadence if their is a mission order.

- Run full-scope SEO audits: technical, semantic, netlinking, UX/CRO intersections, web performance. And implement (webflow expertise or certification is an advantage)
- Build and execute GEO strategies: structuring content for AI Overviews and LLM citation, monitoring brand visibility in generative answer engines, adapting content architecture for AI retrieval, using our tool [GETMINT.AI](http://GETMINT.AI). Prepare full content brief using the content studio creation;
- Own client editorial roadmaps: topic prioritization, writer briefs, SEO/GEO validation.
- Manage netlinking and authority-building campaigns.
- Build reporting that connects visibility metrics (rankings, AI citations, traffic) to business outcomes clients can act on.
- Stay ahead of Search and generative AI evolution and bring point-of-view, not just execution, to client steering committees.

### Tools
Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Oncrawl or Botify, GSC, GA4, Looker Studio, GEO monitoring tools (Ahrefs Brand Radar, [GetMint.ai,](http://Peec.ai) Otterly or equivalent), basic HTML/CSS/JS literacy, familiarity with automation tools (Make, n8n) for reporting and monitoring.
