# Senior SEO & GEO Strategist (Ecommerce)

## Accountabilities:
- Lead and execute SEO strategies across a portfolio of ecommerce clients, ensuring organic search initiatives contribute directly to business growth and revenue.

- Build and prioritize strategic SEO roadmaps covering technical optimization, content strategy, authority building, user experience improvements, and conversion optimization.

- Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits, identifying opportunities related to crawlability, indexation, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, structured data, internal linking, migrations, and overall website performance.

- Analyze SEO performance using industry-leading tools to identify trends, diagnose ranking and traffic fluctuations, and uncover actionable growth opportunities.

- Collaborate closely with developers, content specialists, designers, account managers, and other stakeholders to ensure SEO recommendations are implemented effectively and accurately.

- Translate technical findings into clear implementation plans, monitor execution quality, and communicate performance insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Contribute to the development of GEO and AEO methodologies by researching AI-powered search platforms, evaluating emerging search behaviors, and improving visibility across traditional and AI-driven search experiences.

- Stay current with evolving SEO, AI search, and ecommerce best practices while supporting broader organic growth initiatives and sharing knowledge across the team.

Requirements

- Significant experience leading SEO strategy for ecommerce businesses, with strong expertise in technical SEO and commercial performance optimization.

- Hands-on experience with ecommerce platforms such as Shopify, Shopify Plus, and BigCommerce, while knowledge of additional commerce platforms is considered an advantage.

- Advanced proficiency with SEO and analytics tools including Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Semrush, Looker Studio, and similar platforms.

- Deep understanding of keyword research, search intent, information architecture, on-page optimization, internal linking, and ecommerce content strategy.

- Proven ability to connect SEO performance with business outcomes such as conversions, transactions, revenue, and customer acquisition.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with experience identifying root causes behind performance changes and prioritizing high-impact opportunities.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to clients and cross-functional stakeholders.

- Highly organized, proactive, accountable, and comfortable working independently within a remote, collaborative environment.

- Interest or experience in Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), AI-powered search platforms, structured data, and entity optimization is highly desirable.

- Experience with SQL, Python, JavaScript, APIs, or advanced data analysis techniques is a plus.

- Availability to work approximately 30-35 hours per week during designated collaboration hours, supported by a reliable internet connection and suitable home office setup.
