Marketing & Communications Manager

*Detroit Mountain Recreation Area | Detroit Lakes, MN*

Detroit Mountain Recreation Area is seeking a creative, organized, and driven *Marketing & Communications Manager* to lead our year-round marketing efforts and help tell the Detroit Mountain story.

As a key member of our leadership team, you'll oversee social media, website management, email and CRM marketing, digital advertising, brand communications, and promotion of signature events like Music on the Mountain. This is a hands-on role that combines strategy, storytelling, photography, video, content creation, and analytics to grow visitation and strengthen our connection with guests, donors, sponsors, and the community.

What You'll Do

* Lead year-round marketing and communications across digital and traditional channels.
* Create engaging photography, video, written, and social media content.
* Manage Detroit Mountain's website, email marketing, and CRM campaigns.
* Plan and optimize digital advertising and seasonal promotions.
* Lead marketing for Music on the Mountain and other signature events.
* Use analytics, research, and social listening to identify trends and improve performance.
* Collaborate across departments to find and share the stories that make Detroit Mountain special.
* Serve as a rotating Manager on Duty and help deliver an exceptional guest experience.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a creative storyteller and self-starter who is highly organized, collaborative, and comfortable wearing many hats. The ideal candidate has experience in digital marketing, social media, photography/video, content creation, and project management-and a genuine enthusiasm for outdoor recreation and community.

Position Details

*Full-Time | Exempt | On-Site in Detroit Lakes, MN*
*Salary: $50,000 annually*
*Benefits: Three weeks PTO + 401(k)*
