# Paid Media Designer

**Yumwoof Natural Pet Food Inc.** · Desde casa

*About Yumwoof*

At Yumwoof, we're redefining pet wellness with science-backed, anti-inflammatory dog food made from real ingredients. We're in the middle of a full rebrand and a heavy product-launch calendar. We have more approved creative ideas than we can get produced, checked and shipped. This role is the person who closes that gap every week.

*About the Role*

Most paid design roles are about making the ads. This one is about half making them and half getting them made.

We already have a creative system: a concept library, a brief-to-live pipeline in ClickUp, a naming standard, a shoot library, and seven production partners doing statics, motion and UGC. What we don't have is one person holding the whole thing to a weekly deadline. Right now that job is split across people who each have another job.

So it's two halves of roughly equal weight. Half producer: working alongside Marketing to get our video and UGC actually made (scenarios briefed, creators and editors booked, footage in on the date, cuts reviewed and shipped). Half designer: owning our statics (building them yourself where that's fastest, commissioning them from an agency where it isn't, and being the person who decides whether what comes back is good enough to run).

If both halves sound like work you'd want, read on!

*What You’ll Own (and What You Won’t Own)*

*YOURS*

*Producer Half: Video and UGC, with Marketing*

* *Getting video and UGC made*. Scenarios briefed, creators and editors booked, footage in on the date, cuts back and shipped.
* *The partner roster.* Seven production partners: who gets which brief, by when, and whether what came back is usable.
* *The seam with Marketing*. Shoots, creators and brand assets are theirs. You're the person making sure paid gets what it needs out of that work, early enough to use it.
* *Recuts of what's working*. Hooks worth a second version, winners worth extending, whitelisting candidates surfaced to Growth.

*Designer Half: Statics*

* *Statics, made or commissioned.* You build them where that's fastest and brief an agency where it isn't. Either way they're yours.
* *Variants and swaps*. Winners extended, offer and badge changes for live promos, ratio adaptations.
* *The template library.* The thing that keeps volume possible as spend grows.

*Both Halves*

* *QA on everything that comes back*. Ingredient claims, product naming, safe zones, platform specs, naming standard.
* *Brief quality*. What each maker receives (concept, format, ratio, hook, offer, references).
* *The pipeline and the Monday flight.* Every asset's movement, its Ready-by date, and a complete batch landing traffic-ready each week.

*NOT YOURS (and that’s deliberate)*

* *Concept Approval*: Sits with Growth. Ideas are approved before they reach you. You execute them, and you're welcome to shape them.
* *Spend, Targeting, and Budget*: sits with Growth.
* *Whitelisting Decisions*: Growth decides on UGC winners and You commission the recuts.
* *The Content Calendar*: Marketing decides what we shoot and when, and owns the blog, organic social and email partners. You partner with them on production and tell them what paid needs. You don't run their calendar.
* *What Gets Tested Next*: Growth sets priorities off performance. You turn them into assets.

*Your First 90 Days*

*DAYS 0, 14*

*Learn the system we already have *

Our pipeline, naming standard, concept library and partner roster all exist and are in use. Week one is learning them. Week two you start clearing the queue. If you spot something broken, tell us.

*DAYS 15-45*

*Get to a reliable weekly flight*

Every Monday, a complete batch lands traffic-ready without anyone chasing it. The backlog starts visibly shrinking. The template library grows out of the work you're doing anyway.

*DAYS 46-90*

*Hit creative numbers for every week and hold it through a launch*

New assets a week across statics and video, sustained, including through BFCM, which runs in four waves. Partners and creators deliver to your dates. Growth stops being involved in whether creative will be ready, and goes back to deciding what to test.

*What We’re Looking For*

* *Performance Creative Experience:* 3+ years making performance creative for DTC or e-commerce. A portfolio with volume in it, statics and video both, not just showpieces. Meta above all; TikTok and Google are useful.
* *Pipeline Management:* Evidence you've run a pipeline, not just filled one. You've held outside partners to dates, written briefs people could actually work from, and kept files findable.
* *QA & Compliance Instinct:* A real QA instinct. We sell food. Ingredient claims, product names and substantiated comparisons are not details, getting one wrong is a genuine problem, not a typo.
* *Video Production Coordination:* Production coordination on video. You've run creators and editors to a schedule, scenarios written, footage chased, cuts reviewed, and you can trim or tidy something yourself when that's faster than sending it back.
* *Modular Design Systems:* Figma auto-layout, components and variants, so one idea becomes three ratios and six hooks without starting over. Adobe CS as needed.
* *Mobile-First Conversion Judgement:* Hierarchy that survives at thumb size, hooks that earn the second, comparison layouts that read in a scroll.
* *Deadline Reliability:* Comfort with a deadline that doesn't move. Monday is Monday.

*Nice-to-Have’s*

* *Advanced Video Editing & Motion:* Deeper editing and motion chops using After Effects, Premiere, and CapCut.
* *Industry Experience:* Direct background in the pet, wellness, or CPG sectors.
* *Project Management:* Familiarity with ClickUp.
* *Generative AI Tools:* Experience with generative AI for backgrounds and staging (useful occasionally, but never for product or packaging).

*Role Logistics *

* *Hours & Output:* 25-30 hours a week (contract). Expect about 30 assets a week at a steady state for a 25-hour workload.
* *Surge Weeks:* High-activity periods around launches (the four waves of BFCM and our January product launch) will run closer to 32 hours. These are always agreed upon in advance and never sprung on you.
* *Location & Schedule:* Fully remote and async-friendly, with a couple of hours of daily overlap with US Central for our Monday flight and Friday read.
* *Reporting & Collaboration:* Reports into the Growth team with one standing weekly meeting with the Growth Director. Brand-related questions route directly to Marketing.

*Why Join Us*

At Yumwoof, we're redefining pet wellness through science-backed, anti-inflammatory recipes made with real ingredients.

* *High-Impact Creative Ownership:* A high-ownership contract role where your performance ads ship fast, scale quickly, and drive immediate, measurable growth.
* *Fully Remote Flexibility:* Work from anywhere with an async-friendly culture built for focus and autonomy.
* *Drive Brand & Performance Evolution:* Play a central role in scaling our visual identity across performance channels during a pivotal growth phase.
* *Set the Performance Standard:* You'll define the modular design systems and creative frameworks that our team and agency partners build on, your assets become the benchmark for our paid media.
* *Own the Creative Pipeline:* Run the engine that turns strategy into high-converting static and video assets, on time and on brand, across Meta, TikTok, and Google.
* *Join a Mission-Driven Team:* Work alongside a passionate, ambitious group building healthier products for dogs while scaling a category-defining consumer brand.
