- Manage GTM container structures using native templates and Custom HTML, and implement server-side tagging where it can improve measurement accuracy, reliability, and long-term tracking durability.

- Partner with web and technical teams to build and maintain data layers and ensure websites and landing pages are properly instrumented before campaigns go live.

- Implement and troubleshoot conversion tracking across major paid advertising platforms, including Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Snapchat, using browser pixels and Conversion APIs (CAPI).

- Configure standard and custom conversion events such as leads, applications, and inquiries, ensuring accurate reporting and effective campaign optimization.

- Configure and maintain GA4 event tracking and key events, following the customer journey from ad interaction and website activity through form submission and CRM entry.

- Conduct regular audits and troubleshoot broken tags, dropped events, tracking discrepancies, and inconsistencies between advertising platforms, GA4, and CRM systems.

- Use tools such as GTM Preview Mode, browser developer tools, platform Events Managers, and GA4 DebugView to validate implementations and resolve technical issues before launch.

- Manage cookie consent banners and consent mode configurations while keeping tracking implementations aligned with privacy requirements such as GDPR and CCPA.

- Monitor changes in browsers, advertising platforms, privacy regulations, and measurement technologies that may affect tracking performance and recommend appropriate adjustments.

- Maintain tagging plans, naming conventions, QA checklists, technical documentation, and other resources that enable internal teams to understand and trust the data.

- Translate business and campaign requirements from account, marketing, and client-facing teams into practical tracking solutions.

- Collaborate with Paid Media, Web Services, Data & Analytics, and other stakeholders to ensure measurement requirements are incorporated into campaigns and web projects.

Requirements

- Intermediate experience with Google Tag Manager, including container management, trigger and variable creation, data layer implementation, and troubleshooting.

- Practical experience planning, deploying, validating, and troubleshooting conversion tracking across major advertising platforms.

- Working knowledge of pixels and Conversion APIs (CAPI), particularly for Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, and LinkedIn.

- Hands-on experience with GA4, including event configuration, key events, and DebugView.

- Comfortable working with HTML, CSS selectors, and basic JavaScript for troubleshooting tags and implementing custom scripts.

- Strong ability to use GTM Preview Mode and browser developer tools, including the Elements/Inspect and Network tabs, to diagnose tracking issues.

- Understanding of data privacy requirements such as GDPR and CCPA, as well as cookie consent and consent management practices.

- Ability to understand how tracking and measurement decisions affect paid media performance, attribution, reporting, and campaign optimization.

- Analytical and solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to investigate complex data discrepancies.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical tracking concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when managing tracking infrastructure across multiple client accounts.

- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams in a remote, asynchronous-friendly environment.

- Education marketing experience, including work with universities, online education programs, training organizations, or similar sectors, is highly valued.
