# Senior Manager, Marketing, Communications & Growth

**WECA** · Woods Cross, UT

About WECA

The Western Electrical Contractors Association (WECA) is a premier nonprofit association serving the electrical and low voltage industry through workforce development, education, advocacy, and contractor support. We help contractors succeed while creating career pathways for apprentices, students, and electrical professionals. Through training, industry resources, and public affairs efforts, WECA works to strengthen the workforce and future of the industry.

Position Overview

WECA is seeking a Senior Manager, Marketing, Communications & Growth to lead and execute our marketing and communications strategy while helping drive organizational growth. This is a hands-on senior leadership role for someone who can combine strong digital marketing execution, executive-level communications, brand and content judgment, team leadership, and product-to-market growth.

The right candidate must be comfortable moving between multiple facets of the role: developing direction, writing and reviewing content, improving digital performance, coaching team members, managing projects, and helping WECA’s programs, services, and education products connect with the right audiences.

The role reports to the Chief Operations Officer and works cross-functionally with the Chief Education and Product Officer, Membership, Apprenticeship, and other internal teams to support member engagement, education product growth, market expansion, and consistent external communications.

What You Will DoMarketing Strategy, Growth, and Revenue Performance

· Lead development and execution of WECA’s integrated marketing strategy aligned with organizational goals, member and student engagement, education product growth, and revenue priorities.

· Write comprehensive marketing plans and own their implementation.

· Conduct competitive analyses and deliver regular competitive intelligence reports to inform strategic and go-to-market decisions.

· Use market trends, audience behavior, customer insights, and performance data to inform strategy, messaging, and campaign direction.

· Track and optimize marketing performance, including campaign effectiveness, return on marketing investment, lead generation, engagement, and conversion outcomes.

· Support revenue forecasting and performance tracking for non-apprenticeship education products from a market and demand-generation perspective.

Brand, Communications, and Executive-Level Messaging

· Own WECA’s brand voice, messaging, and storytelling across digital, written, visual, and external communications.

· Draft, edit, and review communications that require strong writing, grammar, clarity, tone, executive judgment, and organizational awareness.

· Develop and support executive-level communications, public-facing messaging, media alerts, press releases, and high-visibility organizational communications.

· Serve as a quality gatekeeper for external communications, ensuring materials are polished, accurate, professional, and aligned with WECA’s reputation and standards.

Digital Marketing, Website, and Performance Optimization

· Plan and execute multi-channel campaigns across digital, print, email, web, social media, and industry channels.

· Oversee paid media strategy, SEO/SEM, website content, analytics, and digital performance reporting.

· Use tools such as Google Analytics, website metrics, campaign analytics, and related platforms to assess performance and improve outcomes.

· Lead website and customer-experience improvement efforts, working with internal teams or external partners to improve clarity, usability, engagement, and conversion.

Product-to-Market Growth for Education Offerings

· Partner with Education leadership to align WECA’s non-apprenticeship education offerings with market demand, customer needs, and growth priorities.

· Translate education programs into clear, compelling value propositions for target audiences, including contractors, non-member participants, students, and other industry stakeholders.

· Define and refine target audience segments, identify market opportunities, and help improve engagement, conversion, participation, and revenue outcomes.

· Provide market-based input into positioning, pricing, offer structure, campaign strategy, and customer feedback loops while the CEPO retains ownership of product design and lifecycle.

Content, Creative, and Editorial Oversight

· Contribute directly to content creation and editing, including digital, written, video, social, web, and campaign materials.

· Provide creative direction and review for video, photography, design, print, and digital content to ensure WECA is represented accurately and professionally.

· Identify details that may affect brand, credibility, safety, tone, or professionalism before content is published or distributed.

· Maintain and improve content standards, asset use, and campaign consistency across channels.

Collaboration, Relationship-Based Growth, and Team Leadership

· Work closely with Membership to support WECA’s relationship-driven engagement and conversion model.

· Support marketing-driven interest as it transitions into meaningful conversations, member engagement, course participation, and long-term relationships.

· Lead, coach, and support marketing team members while maintaining strong standards for quality, responsiveness, and accountability.

· Manage workflows, priorities, timelines, and resource allocation across multiple projects and stakeholder requests.
