Strong candidates have 5-10 years of operator experience, a proven channel they can scale (paid, SEO, lifecycle, partnerships), and the ability to make a hire on day 30 and a roadmap on day 60. The biggest signal is past P&L responsibility, not the title on the previous role.

## Content Marketing Manager

Content Marketing has bifurcated. One side owns the publishing engine, blog posts, ebooks, newsletters, podcasts, focused on traffic and lead generation. The other owns thought leadership, executive ghostwriting, and brand narrative. Best-fit candidates today combine both: they can ship a 3,000-word definitive guide AND run a 12-episode podcast with a sales pipeline tied to it. The bar has risen, generic AI-written content is now noise, and the winners are the writers with strong points of view, deep subject expertise, and the ability to ship in Jeremy's voice (or whichever founder voice the company sells through).
