Best-fit candidates write fast, think in stories, and partner well with product, sales, and demand gen, the role is dependent on cross-functional trust. The hottest PMM specialty right now is AI Product Marketing, the few PMMs who deeply understand model capabilities and can write product narratives non-technical buyers grasp are commanding outsized salaries.
